So ya, nothing's changed. Sounds like he got a new agent though, so his new agent is probably trying to drum up some interest.
I'm sure Pitino is the same guy he's always been, but there is this from the article:
"I'm not looking for any of that [power/control] at this stage of my life," Pitino told ESPN. "I want to develop teams and develop players and build a winner. I value analytics. I want to fit into an organization. At this stage, that's all I'm interested in."
So I'd test how true this is. You love the game and just want to be around it? You don't want any power? You're not looking to feed your ego or get paid, right? You can coach my G-League team. Maybe I'll even bring you in as a special assistant to my NBA team (but nothing higher than 2nd Assistant in the pecking order). Let's see how much you really love the game and want to be part of it.
