Good picks by the Pats.

Like the Lacey pick by GB.

Guessing Barkley wished he left school last year.

yeah, i'm shocked Barkley and Nassib haven't been picked yet.
I suspect both will go early in the 4th.

Another good pick for the Pats. Like this kid Dobson's size and skills, leadership ability, work ethic and background. 6'3" receiver with great catching ability and the size and speed to take advantage of either or both depending on who is covering him.

Agreed for the most part.
I really like his size.
He'll be a nice red zone option for Brady.

That safety pick is a real head scratcher.
But, that's Bill, I guess.
In any case, the Pats have done a pretty nice job in the draft with selection, IMHO. Positions are being addressed, and the picks seem reasonable, if a bit risky.

Pats traded Demps and a seventh round pick to TB for Legarette Blount. Interesting trade w high upside for the Pats.

Blount, interesting.

If he can get back to being the player he was a couple seasons ago, he and Ridley could combine for a really potent power rushing attack.  Then we just need to hope that Vereen can be relied upon as the passing-down back like Woodhead was.

Annnnd, Tim Tebow was released today.

Raise your hand if you didn't see this coming.

I'm still curious whether we can convert him to an h-back. Sadly, the experiment is probably not worth the hoopla that comes with it.

He would be a great fit for a teams third quarterback.  He could run the spread option for the scout team.

That's probably the second most likely outcome, after Canada.

EDIT: And I think the chances of Tebow coming to the Pats is 0.

I think very soon Tebow is going to give up on being a quarterback after realizing he won't make it as qb in the nfl.

I wouldn't be shocked if the pats bring him in as a special teams player and a developmental h back. The only problem I see with going to the pats is, they try to avoid controversy.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz

Not necessarily. See:
Albert Haynesworth
Ochocinco
Randy Moss
LeGarrette Blount

To name some recent examples.

I actually think the Pats are a good fit for Tebow and the media hoopla wouldn't be what it was in NY because everyone knows Tom Brady is the starting QB as long as he is healthy.  Tebow could thus come to a team without any expectation to start or even play, so he might actually grow as a player.  The Pats also use players in unique ways so a transition to a H-back or some other position, would be much easier in New England than some other team.

Eric Couch couldn't make it as a NFL QB. Neither could Matt Leinart, Troy Smith, Chris Weinke, or Danny Wuerffel. Heck Charlie Ward couldn't even make it as a football player.

All are Heisman winning QBs. Tim TeBow should just happily accept he is not an NFL QB and go on with his life as an H back or a CFL player because he will never be taking a snap from under center in the NFL ever again.

As I predicted last year, may I add.
