I think extra yardage matters more when you're that close to the goal, but it's definitely debatable.  Ultimately it didn't matter.

Pats' O-Line is playing a really, really good game.  If they can keep playing like this in the second half, the Pats have a very good chance.

yeah.  based on that alone, Eli has the edge so far (other than the fact that the Pats are winning).
