This guy loves to start trouble with people. I heard he got into a fight with his own teammates while with the Pistons. He also beat up on poor Kirk Snyder and Jeff Hornacek. Now, he wants to fight Byron Scott: http://sports.aol.com/fanhouse/2008/04/25/jerry-stackhouse-wants-to-fight-byron-scott/?icid=100214839x1200776882x1200031873. Player seems to be afraid of him too. When he knocked down Shaq no one dared got into his face. When you guys say Bruce Bowen is a dirty player, I don't think he got anything on Stack. I really dislike Stackhouse.

BTW, does anyone have videos of him beating up on Jeff Hornacek.

Ah he's just a bit physical. Dirty is harsh, he needs to hit people more often for me to call him that.

This is a fun quote from the man on/around the subject
Quote
"I think the whole defensive thing is overrated," Stackhouse said. "You know what I'm saying, trying to start the game with defense. Sometimes, it's just mental.

"It's like Ron Artest or Kobe Bryant or Tracy McGrady. I've gone at those boys so hard. Mentally, they look at me differently probably than anyone else on our team.

"Not that I'm a better defender," Stackhouse continued. "But it's, 'OK, you know, Stack might trip me, so I'm going to shoot this jumper on him instead of drive.' You know what I'm saying? I try to take advantage of some of those things.

"You ain't nothing without your rep."

I've said it before and I have always been serious, Bruce Bowen should not be allowed in the NBA. Any individual who intentionally ,on a repeat and consistent basis, purposely attempts to do damage to other players by injuring them is not a basketball player, and should not be allowed on the court with basketball players. The worst part about Bowen is that he tries to pretend he isn't doing it on purpose, I mean that kick in the face to Wally is just ridiculous.

I was surprise he could even get up that high.

Funny, I never thought of Stack as a dirty player.  I just never really liked him, but I actually like him a little more for taking down Manu.  He probably said to him on the way down: "you like flopping?  you like flopping?  now here's something for you to flop about!"

On the other hand, I have always really disliked Bruce Bowen and agree with Celtic above that Bowen shouldn't even be allowed to play.  But, sadly, it will take a career threatening injury to a player of Kobe's stature before there is a rule change...
Celtics fan for life.

I agree ... he broke Allen Iverson's ankle, kicked Wally in the face, hurt Stoudemire quite badly, kicked Ray Allen in the back, kneed Steve Nash in the groin, and on and on ... the list is truly endless. This guy should not only be out of the NBA, but should be doing time for assault.

Remember Stack came from the Pistons, where he learned the hard hit lesson routines there, and once was a offensive machine, that has gone down  to bringing in energy from the bench. He is probably frustrated with his playing time, also watching younger guys doing what he once could.
