Big game about to happen-

Celtics 109
Heat 86

Wow, not even kidding but I predict the same points total for Tatum.

I'm not going to predict a score since the 2 times I've done it this series, they've lost lol (helping the cause!)

I got the C's winning by 12 with Tatum leading the way with 36 points. He'll hit some big shots in the 2nd half and go on a run one of the quarters which allows us to pull away. I think Horford also has a great all-around game, something like 18/8/5. G-Will will score 17 and shoot well from behind the arc. Idk but Batman does seem to have a knack for performing in closeout games (Game 4 vs. BKN - 15 points, Game 7 vs. MIL - 27 points) and I think he does well tonight also.

I feel this will be a game where Miami is obviously desperate and it's a close game early, but then the C's go on a bit of a run in the 2nd quarter and then pull away a bit in the 2nd half and then they'll just stay-in control for most of the 2nd half with a solid lead. Not a blowout but they'll stay ahead.

Though while Tatum has the better game, Jaylen does well too and does enough to secure and hoist the ECF MVP trophy at the end.

If Tatum drops 36, he is getting the LB trophy. Guaranteed.

The Jay with the better game wins the trophy.

Could be. I think if Tatum puts up 40+ in a winning effort it's his for sure, but if Jaylen say puts up 25+ while Tatum goes for 36 I still think they may give it to Jaylen. Jaylen does have a 40-point game in his bag and some of the metrics do benefit him.

But whatever, tbh I don't really care who wins it. As long as the C's win and advance, I'm happy  ;D

I am not going to make a definitive prediction on the game but my feeling is that the Celtics will have balanced scoring, no one player is going to "go off".  Tatum and Brown will be 20 points or so.  Smart and Horford in the 15 range.  White, Grant, Rob, Pritchard will all pitch in something meaningful.

I was sorting through some stats and I found an interesting sort on Jaylen Brown.  In the 4th quarter, in the first 5 games of this series, Jaylen Brown is shooting 81% overall and 82% from 3.  He leads the team with 9.8 pts per game in the 4th.

Theis 67% (and not all garbage time), Smart (67%), and Horford (60%) are also killing it in the 4th.  Pritchard is the second highest scorer in the 4th with 5.3 pts per game.  Daniel Theis is averaging more minutes (6.1) and more points (2.3) in the 4th than RWill (5.7 min/0.5 pts).  RWill has only played in the 4th in 2 games and it appears that he is wearing down.
Kinda hard to believe that so many on this site pushed the narrative that Jaylen wasn't clutch and couldn't produce when it meant the most.
I think that was a function of the offence Stevens would often run at the end. Give the ball to IT/Kyrie/Kemba and park the Jays in the corners. Man that used to irritate me!

According to Haynes, Tyler Herro will likely miss Game 6 tonight.

According to Udoka, Smart + Timelord will undergo pregame testing to determine availability. If I had to guess though I think they'll play.

Yeah those 2018-2020 years of having the Jays sit in corners while three lesser shooters and scorers did three man weaves at the top of the key were infuriating.

Horford has a good reason to ball out tonight. If the C's win, he gets an extra $5M for making the Finals

I wonder what awful goofy outfit Herro will wear on the bench this time

I would guess he doesn’t do the Miami Vice outfit again, it was bad enough down there.  The guy is a clown, almost as bad as Ben Simmons.

Kind of true, in that his contract guarantees for an extra $5 million next year, but I think given his performance this year season and definitely through the playoffs that the Celtics are unlikely to release him before next season even if they lose the next two games.

He's clearly very fond of himself, but he has been a huge underperformer these playoffs. He's a major weak link on defence, especially with the aggressive schemes Miami plays with their help and passing lanes. Hopefully he doesn't work on it, because he'd be a major pain in the butt if he wasn't a liability on D
