"That's caffeine pride talking," Durant said. "He takes something before the game. Those two dudes (Horford and Theis) can do the same stuff. It ain't going to be that easy, I tell you that."

"We respect our opponents," Durant said. "We don't need to talk about what we're going to do to them. I just don't like that, but that's how Bruce is. He comes in and keeps the same energy throughout the whole season. But we don't need to say (expletive) like that. Let's just go out there and hoop."

This is in the category of much ado about nothing.  Brown shouldn't have said it but really all he said was that the Celtics don't have Robert Williams and that impacts their interior defense.  I don't think this is going offend Horford or Theis and make them play better or anything like that.  It does perhaps tip the Nets hand some on how they plan to attack the Celtics but I suspect that Celtics would have realized this on their own.

It is a bit of a distraction for the Nets so happy to see that.  I am sure Horford and Theis will be asked about it along the way and I expect the answer to be "yeah, Rob Williams is a great player but next man up".

This by itself is not big deal in my opinion but it is the kind of thing the Nets may continue doing.  Maybe Kyrie says something stupid next.  Maybe some bickering starts in the locker room.  Durant will need to keep all this together for team.  I think he will be able to.

More interesting is the news that Durant was so bothered by Harden being out shape that the relationship was irreparable.  I don't see how Bruce Brown talking is an issue.  He didn't even say anything special.

It seems like the team's motivation has been at a 10 for a couple months now, so now that the playoffs are starting I don't think Brown's comments will have any effect at all.

They even alluded to this in the new Saved By the Bell, as well as, Showgirls. All in good fun. Yes, I've watched both seasons of the new Saved By the Bell and am looking forward to the next
