Anyone know why Sale got pulled after 2 innings?
Bad control. Good contact by Houston. High pitch count. Bailed out by a great defensive play. It was only a matter of time before he blew up
That’s disappointing. Picked a bad time to go into a funk..
I don’t think it’s a funk tbh. I think he just isn’t fully recovered from his injury yet. We protected him some in the regular season by playing him against trash teams, but now he’s having to face real offensive lineups in the playoffs.
Hopefully we’ll see a return to the old Chris Sale next season. For now, I just hope he keeps us in games.
Not sure what you mean. Sale started 9 games in the regular season, was 5-1 with a 3.16 ERA and struck out 52 batters in 42 innings pitched. He was also throwing 98mph yesterday. He’s definitely in a funk right now.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.
