Sox said they were fired up by Ray’s eating popcorn in the dugout, and by the Rays ordering champagne delivered to Boston.

Seems like a franchise that has never won a title and that has very little "greatness" in its history would have a bit more humility.

I don’t think it’s a funk tbh.  I think he just isn’t fully recovered from his injury yet.  We protected him some in the regular season by playing him against trash teams, but now he’s having to face real offensive lineups in the playoffs.

Hopefully we’ll see a return to the old Chris Sale next season.  For now, I just hope he keeps us in games.

I'm thankful Altuve didn't send it out of the park for a grand slam when he loaded them up, not that it mattered in the end  :(

BUT we only need to steal one, and hopefully Nate gives us five solid innings in Game 2.

Not sure what you mean. Sale started 9 games in the regular season, was 5-1 with a 3.16 ERA and struck out 52 batters in 42 innings pitched. He was also throwing 98mph yesterday. He’s definitely in a funk right now.
