Lakers squeak by memphis at home (Memphis on second night of back to back). Westbrook continues to look like a bad fit with 5-15 shooting, 13 assists, 9 turnovers, 7 rebounds. Not sure this fit is gonna work but they always have a chance with Lebron and davis.

Westbrook is a poor fit on that team , but Melo is a great fit. They go as far as the old guys can carry them.

He had a nice scoring game tonight, but how big a role do you see him playing in a playoff series. Felt like he was a net negative in the playoffs the last few years for portland. Was not good at defense to begin with and at 37 not sure who he can guard.

He's basically a spot up shooter who plays really really bad defence.

Carmelo Anthony had a monster night. I hope it's just this one night and not multiple nights.

He had a monster night, but it still took a missed free throw by Morant with 2 seconds left to keep the game from going to overtime.

East pretty deep this year. Charlotte, knicks, Celtics, Hawks, bucks, nets, 76ers, heat all appear to have solid squads.

Tyler Herro with 13pts 9ast 5reb last night. Another strong game off the bench. Is he coming good this season?

Miami has gotta be excited with his strong start.

Evan Mobley looks like the real deal.  14.3 p, 8.3 r, 2.8 a, 1.3 s, 2.0 b with eFG 56.3 and a TS% of 61.7 through 4 games.  The Cavs finally moved Sexton to SG full time and I think that has just helped everyone on their offense as Garland and Rubio are pure PG's and really do set up the offense well.  They may not be as bad as I thought they were going to be if they can keep this sort of thing up with solid ball movement, spreading the ball around, and Mobley just getting better and better.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Do you think they will trade Sexton?  Would you want him on the Celtics at the right price?

Sexton is clearly on the block because they are hesitant to pay him a max (or near max) contract, which is also why he didn't sign an extension.  I think they are trying to attach him to Love and still get something of value for him.  A Simmons trade (with another piece or two to Philly) has been talked about for awhile i.e. Simmons for Love, Sexton, + draft picks or other young players.  Unless Boston is willing to trade Horford and take back Love, I don't think there is a Sexton trade out there because a trade for just Sexton isn't really workable (i.e. Sexton is clearly a better asset than any of Boston's young players, the Cavs don't need or want more late 1st's, and the best young asset Boston has i.e. R. Williams plays a position they Cavs clearly don't need).  If the Cavs would so something like Sexton for Nesmith, Langford, and a 1st or two (or Grant), I'd do that, just because I think Sexton would be a talent upgrade, but you would have to pay him 25+ million a year.  I just don't think the Cavs would do that as Sexton is by far the best player in that trade (and still very young himself).

Him succeeding in spite of the weird lineups he has to play in is very odd, but Rubio definitely helps.

They have so much money tied up in their 4 bigs
