Miami has developed so many young players.

Is J. B. Bickerstaff the coach of the year? Seems like it to me.

Cleveland's preseason Win Total line was set at 26.5 wins and they already have 30. At a time when there's an emphasis on small ball, he trots out a lineup of 3 seven footers with a rookie in the starting lineup. Played well tonight blowing out the defending champs.

COTY or not, such an impressive job!

Charlotte Hornets just put up 158 on the Indiana Pacers (in regulation).

I’m curious how long before a team gets close to the 200 mark.

Browsing through random box scores, I see the Kings getting dominated by the Hawks. I look at the +/- and Halliburton is a game low -34, then I check last night's result and he was a game low -40. A -74 over a 2 game stretch has to be close to a record. Rough stretch... though he's still a solid young player.

Coach of the Year is interesting thus far.  I'd think Bickerstaff would be the front runner but Jenkins in Memphis has done a fantastic job as has Donovan in Chicago.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

That Hornets team can run up the score, they have scorers at every position.

The Pacers might have the most lineups used this season, they haven't been healthy all season. Carlisle going from the relative stability of Dallas and Luka to this must be a whirlwind.

Can't help think the Cavs this year are last year's Hawks. Team nobody expected to do well but in a COVID year exceeds expectations and the next year falls back to what they were expected to be as now everyone has film on them and adjusts.

That would be so cool. Makes me wanna dust off my NBA 2K14 and do weird stuff with simulation again (but I'm wayyyy too addicted to that game).

This also makes me wanna play 2K14 ...  :-X :-X :-X

Last year’s Hawks feel different.  They were terrible in the first half of the year, then got hot in a weird year that had fewer games.  This is a weird year still, but the Cavs have been solid from the opening weeks, before the Covid craziness kicked in.  They might regress next year, because that happens (as we have witnessed firsthand), but it’s not like the Hawks.

I’m sure it’s been a whirlwind, but I also felt Carlisle was past his prime when people talked about him for this job, and his season in Indiana has done little to change my opinion.

Is it just Mobley making all the difference? Or is there hope yet for our Udoka haha.

I haven't seen them play much but they look like they are having a blast. I also think they differ from The Hawks last year because the Hawks didn't start last year well and came on the second half of the year and had some good matchups in the playoffs.

You're saying the Hawks just had a hot streak last year?

The most points scored by an nba team without overtime is a tie:

173 -143  Suns - Nuggets (1990-91)

173 -139  Celtics - Lakers (1958-59)
