I don't know what Kevin Love is going to be as a player moving forward. Last seasons with injuries and perhaps disinterest, he had a serious drop off to 12 pts, 7.5 rebs, 26 gms, 25 min/game. You can't know if this coming season, he is going to be better, worse, or the same. He will be 33 in Sept. Most likely, he is around the same but it is probably more likely that he is worse and the least likely that he is any better.
24 min from Love on a Vet Min contract would probably be better what we would get out of Parker and GWilliams (at least better than what we got from the two last season) but how much? Parker was 15 pts / 6 Rebs in 32 gms, 26 min/game for ATL in 2019-20 before getting traded and then injured. Parker was certainly not that player for us last season but is it really a stretch to hope that at age 26, that player still is in there?
I would not be upset if we signed Love but I would not expect it to make much difference and at best, it is a very short term stop gap type move. Nothing that really helps us moving forward. Parker at least has a chance to be something moving forward. We are probably better off just giving minutes to Parker since neither is likely to move the needle much anyway.
