Free agent center Richaun Holmes has agreed to a four-year deal worth as much as $55 million to return to the Sacramento Kings, his agency Par-Lay Sports & Entertainment (@parlay_se) tells @TheAthletic @Stadium. Deal includes player option and trade kicker.
What does this mean for the TT deal? The Kings have signed Holmes and Len today for their big man spots.
I was thinking the same thing. Maybe one of them gets moved in the 3 way deal? Or is something like TT just ends up in Atlanta and we get John Collins possible?
We aren’t getting John Collins unless we send out about $20 million more in salary, most of which would have to go to a team other than Atlanta. That said, it’s not impossible, so do you want to dream:
Atlanta gets Marcus Smart, who agrees to an extension as part of the deal.
Celtics get John Collins at about $20 million in year one (this is $8 million less than his asking price, so we’re getting a bargain, and this is part of why it’s a dream scenario).
Thunder get Thompson, Grant Williams, Aaron Nesmith, and Kris Dunn. I’ve decided that Nesmith is enough to compensate OKC for the expiring contracts they’re also taking on, but OKC a probably demands a pick.
