Westbrook to L.A?

If this is true, a Beal deal has to come sooner rather than later.

According to Woj a Westbrook deal doesn't signal a Beal trade

https://twitter.com/wojespn/status/1420861735284744198?s=20

Beal's 28. The time is now for him. Building for later???

Yeah, unless Wash has some deal ready to go to build around him for next season that doesn't make sense at all.  Westbrook being traded for peanuts seems like a complete rebuild move.

I don't know if Woj is losing credibility.  Others are reporting the same thing, although I don't know their credibility level.

If Beal does want to stay (not totally sold on that) maybe he really disliked Westbrook?

Washington telling people that Beal wants to stay isn't the same as him wanting to stay.

Let's hope so, because our best hope of landing him is probably in free agency next summer after waiving and stretching Horford.

Yeah I kneed jerk reacted with the credibility thing, but I can't see Beal wanting to stay, Wash has done a horrible job putting talent around him, Wall talked him into staying and then bolted, who really wants to play there thats free this year? Next?

Maybe he stay a year cause Boston can't trade for him, but if he says I'm not resigning, and only will sign in Boston(saw rumor he rather be in Bos than GSW)Wash is better off getting three late first rounders over the next 6 years and some of our young guys is better than nothing.

If this is true, a Beal deal has to come sooner rather than later.

Detroit is finalizing a trade to send C Mason Plumlee and the No. 37 pick to Charlotte for the No. 57 pick, sources tell ESPN.

Feels like Detroit could've gotten value for Plumlee.

Does this confirm that Tristan Thompson has negative trade value? I would say so.

If Beal stays doesn't he qualify for a super max contract?  Got to think he factors that in. (Washington has had pretty awful luck with those contracts (Arenas, Wall).)

This borderline infuriates me, Plumlee is such a good role player and his high-post playmaking would have been so good alongside the Jays. And of course, once more, the Celtics stand idly by and watch good role players get picked up on the cheap, doing nothing.

I wonder if we even had a chance. I have a hard time believing this is the best deal Detroit could get for him, so I I have to question how much due diligence they really did.

I do agree, mainly because Detroit are a mess. Now Charlotte don’t need a big AND moved up in the draft.
