This is just shocking. Where did this come from? When did this happen?

Might as well forget the rest of this season. Play the bench guys for more experience, get a better draft pick, and pack the whole team in bubble wrap until next season starts.

Apparently this is a pretty serious wrist injury:

https://news.hss.edu/novel-surgery-relieves-pain-and-restores-function-in-patients-with-common-wrist-injury/

It's common, but it also seems to routinely lead to arthritis and other negative symptoms.  Of course, JB isn't a mere mortal like the rest of us, so he'll get whatever is on the cutting edge of techniques.

Did it happen when he bumped into Tatum?

Well, I guess I'll see you all in October!

(Okay not really I'll still be here lol, love you all and these forums. But man this sucks... but whatever tbh they probably weren't going to do much in the playoffs anyways as is)

what a craptastic season. so many injuries.

fine, done, time for the celtics to tank the bejeezus out of what is left of the season. then tank the playoff.

then hope for lottery luck.

cripes. what a mess.  :P

I’m all in on tank, get a decent pick, and use pick in trade package (unless get lottery miracle).

They won’t tank though. In fact the way this season has gone, they’ll suddenly start playing inspired ball for 48.

#NEBHInjuryReport This past weekend Celtics forward Jaylen Brown was diagnosed with a torn scapholunate ligament in his left wrist. Brown is expected to have the torn ligament surgically repaired later this week, and will be out for the remainder of the 2020-21 season.

Jaylen seemed to be nursing a lot of injuries, surgery really sucks but hopefully it'll give time for the rest of him to heal.

I guess we're going to see a lot more of Aaron Nesmith now.

Didn’t see that one coming. All aboard the miss the playoffs train, but of course we will see something like a 50-point play-in gem from Tatum to nix our lottery chances.

Well, at least it's not his shooting hand.

Ugh, get well soon JB. But we weren’t going anywhere anyways.

The worst part about this is now management has an excuse to “run it back” next season with no major changes.

Yeah, I can see this team suddenly flipping a switch to rally for their fallen comrade, but ultimately still fall far short of a title and also cost them a better draft position. =(

Honestly, he should look into getting the procedure done by Dr. Wolfe himself. At the very least, he should have the surgery at HSS with team doctors observing.

Yup. It'll be the "We didn't really get to see our starters play together much, which led to a host of other problems, so we're gonna try it again."

Now we'll probably win it all! This team always does the opposite like that Seinfield episode!

 ;)

I doubt it.  Expecting some significant changes
