How could Brad not see Miami going at Kemba on every play in the first half to either score or draw the double team? Is that mask covering Brad's whole face??? It was totally frustrating today. Kemba played 40 minutes and the Heat just ran wild. In the next game, Brad will come back with the same thing and maybe adjust when we're down 25 in the 4th.

and yet the celtics outscored the heat by 20 points in the second half. hmmmmm.... how could that be possible?

But he waits until a hole is so big to adjust that it's too little too late. He waited until he gave up a record 79 points in the first half and most of that outscoring in the second half was let down by Miami. It's always hard to play all out when you have a 30 point lead. What good does it do to outscore a team in the second half when the game has already been won in the first half?

79 first-half points.... A record against the Celtics and many more records set against this year.

How many times do have to watch Kemba in the switch against the bigger player before you pull him? You get no credit from climbing halfway out of a hole that you dug yourself!!!!

What does winning half a game of basketball count as? A loss!

Why did they bring Parker on to this team?

Is Pritchard in the doghouse again?

Why didn't Nesmith get more time?

Where's our defense?

One team looked like they knew what to do in this game and the other team were running around like chicken's with their heads cut off.

I would pay good money not to see our smallest player on the court, whoever that happens to be, not guard the other team's biggest in the paint. No matter what you would have to do to achieve that!!!

Where is Langford?
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

No, the team that losses is the loser no matter if they "Win" a half!!! Almost digging out of a massive hole is a loss. Youn have to play the whole game! In blowouts, the losing team often "Wins" the 4th quarter because the game is already over for the winning team.

It's clear some of the players didn't take it serious till the 2nd half. They probably figured they could catch up again because they did it vs the Spurs. This is what Evan Fournier had to say when asked:

Quote
“That has to come from within, from each one of us,” Fournier said of how to correct the problem. “There’s really not much to say about it, to be honest. We just have to start individually better and do whatever to get us going. A 1 o’clock game is not an excuse at all. We just have to be better individually, period.”

“If you just lose a game by 30 and the guys in front of you were just better, well, you can kind of look at the game afterwards and see where you kind of messed up and how you can do better,” said Fournier. “But when you just fix things just by being more aggressive and turning it up, it just shows a lack of physicality in my opinion. And that’s something we can’t have.

“We’ve gotta start from the very first minute until the very last one,” he said. “And just talking about it is not enough. At that point we just have to do it. I mean, in many games now we’ve kind of started slow. And we’ve had to spend a lot of energy just trying to come back and win the game. If we don’t put ourselves in a bad position from the start, and play ahead, then we can beat anybody. So we definitely have to do better on that part.”

This season has sucked and it's going to be over too soon....

Going to be a long time until the draft and really long until next season.

Frustrating year...

  • GOT IT!!!
This season has been one excuse after another. It’s been a failure from the top on down. It doesn’t feel like a blip but more like a plateau.

Let Jabari Parker play. Give him everybody's bench minutes not named Nesmith or Pritchard. He has time to get in shape. There's really no system to adjust to. I'd much rather see what Parker can do, instead of what Stevens is putting out there.

I hope the team takes Fournier’s comments seriously. This is the real problem here - the lack of focus and effort to begin games.
