Thompson, Tatum, Williams, Langford, Fournier, (and I think) Javonte Green all have had COVID. Am I missing anyone? UGH
Yes Smart too.. so that is half the team...

Mo Wagner had it with the Wizards.

Excluding Wagner, the Celtics have had a league-high 11 players in Covid protocols this year, for a league-high 131 days, 20% more days than the next most afflicted team (Dallas).  Every team has dealt with it, but no team has dealt with it more than Boston.  The Raptors had the worst bout in terms of the length that their core players were all out concurrently.  The Mavs and the Heat are the other two teams who've had over 100 days lost.  Funny how we're all some of the most underperforming teams this year.

I had measured optimism going into tonight’s game. Now with Fournier out, I don’t.

Bummer squared.

If it weren’t for bad luck the Celtics would have no luck at all.  :(
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I dislike the 76ers, so I say we beat them anyway.  Next man up.  Gotta play some def like you mean it tonight guys.  We still have our starting 5 and hopefully one of the young guys / new guys can hit a few shots.

Silver lining..... We should get an extended look at Romeo, So I feel somewhat better about Fournier being out.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

It's all good, the world's not ending yet. Fournier will be back, he's not out for the season (hopefully)  :police: If they can maintain their approach from the last two games, where they a) moved the ball a lot and b) moved a lot without the ball I think we will give the Sixers a good challenge. Not sure if Embiid will play but I hope he does, I want to see how Timelord fares against him. We have some bigger bodies to throw against Embiid at least. Maybe Mo Wagner can make himself useful and get Embiid ejected

They really need to look into why we have had so many players in Covid protocols. I know they are all grown ups and they can do what they want off the court but they should really be trying to minimize their interactions with people outside playing the game, especially if it means they end up missing weeks.

I agree here. At this point, it's hard to blame it all on luck instead of the team's managing of it.

They should have just got it at beginning of season and got it over with.

One might say we are lucky to have our best players get it before the playoffs begin. Time will tell which teams will be truly unlucky this post season.

Kornet had a great game against Embiid when he was with the Knicks.

Why can't TNT start their pre-game at 7:00 and start the games on time at 7:30?

I enjoy her commentary. She brings a grounded sense to a cast full of wacky characters.

Let's go C's! Wish Fournier - and TT for that matter - was available to see a full strength C's squad against Philly, but hopefully we can still put together a nice win against the top of the East.
