Propose a wholesale makeover in the offseason that keeps Tatum happy and makes us title contenders next season:

https://tradenba.com/trades/So9cx1zEL

BOS In: Beal, KAT
BOS Out: Brown, Walker, 2021 1st, 2023 1st, 2025 1st, 2027 1st

WAS In: Brown
WAS Out: Beal

MIN In: Walker, 2021 1st, 2023 1st, 2025 1st, 2027 1st
MIN Out: KAT

Note: Add our 2022, 2024 and 2026 swaps if necessary to seal the deal.

Re-sign Fournier, re-sign Ojeyele, add a MLE who can play 4/5, and add a vet at the minimum who can play 5/4. Then go with this roster:

Smart/Pritchard/Madar
Beal/Langford/Edwards
Tatum/Fournier/Nesmith
KAT/Ojeyele/MLE who can play 4/5
Timelord/TT/Vet at Min.

Good enough to win it all? I think so.

The above would basically be our 2021 version of the KG and Ray Allen trades.

Good enough to win it all. Not remotely appealing to either Washington or Minnesota
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

Beal giving the ultimatum “trade me to Boston with Tatum or I’m gone in a year” is probably going to make them happy with getting  Brown with three years left, or someone willing to give picks to the Wizards in return for Brown (with us getting Beal).

I think KAT has had enough. Four first-round picks and Walker is a good haul. Give them swaps on 2022, 2024 and 2026 if necessary (so basically the Harden deal with a former all-star PG added to the mix). Doubt anybody else would give more?

and where are you getting valid information that he is unhappy or has any intention of leaving Boston especially since he's got a nice, fat max contract coming his way very shortly?

So it’s dependent on two things (Beal demanding out to Boston much like AD, except we can’t sign him, and KAT demanding out) that have not happened, so that we can lowball these teams?

Many teams would easily outbid us there for KAT. Golden State could easily with their numerous assets, Houston and OKC have millions of picks, the Knicks could swing something based on Toppin and Quickley, and that’s just off the top of my heads

No, we should not get Beal to "make Tatum happy." That is the kind of thing the poorly ran teams do, and rarely works. How did the Heat do keeping Lebron happy by drafting Shabazz Napier? If millions of dollars isn't enough to keep Tatum playing a professional sport at a high level, then let's trade him for KAT. Or Harden, lol.

Can you imagine Red making a trade just to make a player happy by having his buddy with him?

What KAT deal? With what money? Are we shedding Tatum and some combination of Smart/Kemba/Thompson to add Beal? Also, why would Beal come here if we just shipped off his seemingly closest friend?

Isn't Beal under contract until 2023?

I'm really not convinced Beal makes that big of a difference compared to just keeping Brown and whatever other assets you'd have to give up.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

you can’t be shy today ,  if you want to win big , got to make big moves . ....like Raptors did .

otherwise ,  the four big city teams will throw nothing to the other cities, ...but scrubs or crumbs

when LA teams are done with Leonard and Bron.  They will come after Zion and Tatum to go with AD .....

So either Danny gets stars or loses it all.

He should be fired before he loses Tatum IMO

Keep Tatum happy. Just tell him to practice shots a little farther out and not pass. Cha cha contested 3 - brick.

Keep Tatum happy?  Why should we bother. His play is making us all miserable.
