Bogdanovic
Nurkic
Saric
Vucevic
Pokusevski
Samanic
Hezonja

This would (most likely) be the Yugoslavia’s current team if they were still a combined nation.

That is a pretty ridiculous squad.

Yugoslavia Depth Chart

C  Jokic, Vucevic, Nurkic
PF Bjelica, Saric, Samanic
SF Bogdanovic, Pokusevski
SG Doncic, Hezonja
PG Dragic, Bogdanovic

The Yugoslavian centre depth would definitely rival 'Team USA'.

It's kind of sad we won't ever see this team in the Olympics. It would bring back the rivalry of the 80's and make international basketball fun again.

Realistically speaking, their C depth smashes the US. Embiid and Gobert aren’t American, and KAT is Dominican-American. Adebayo is a stud for sure, but Jokic & Vucevic are both All-NBA calibre right now
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

Certainly can compete at center, but the US would dominate them everywhere else if the best all played.  That has always been the case.  When the US' best play, the US crushes everyone.  It is only the years when the US has the B or C squad that the US is challenged and the US still often wins those.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Doncic creativity on offence would create havoc for the US and his connection with Dragic shouldn’t be overlooked.

Team USA would beat them. But if that was an NBA team it could  go deep in the playoffs. Doubt there’s another country outside the US that could field a better team.

For sure, but does that even happen anymore?

Not so much and probably not this summer after such a weird season and off season, but even if it was like 75%, I don't think anyone could challenge the US.  Just looking at last year's All NBA Teams, 9 of the 15 were American and that was a light year.

Yeah just send in the Warriors' Big 4/Death Lineup of 2017. And dispatch Irving, Harden, Davis and those guys and good game.

well yeah, that is a NBA champion.  Don't think it would be much of a contest in that regard as Jokic and Doncic are both MVP caliber players with solid and quality depth throughout the team.  Of course Yugoslavia is no longer a country so that team won't actually exist.

I think France probably has the best team right now, though France is ranked #7 in the world by FIBA right now (Gobert surrounded by NBA talent like Founier, Maledon, Batum, Ntilikina, Hayes, etc.).  Spain is 2nd but their main guys are all older.  I'm not sure how much they actually have left in the tank.  Australia at 3 is interesting and seems to be a team on the rise with like 8 or 9 guys in the NBA led by Simmons, Thybulle, Ingles, Mills, and Baynes.  And of course you can't count out the Joker and his Serbian squad or the Antetokounmpo brothers leading Greece.  At the end of the day though, all a race for 2nd.
