I was getting my hopes up for Fields, but can't be unhappy with this pick if you are a Pats fan. People were talking about Jones going #3, so being able to grab one of the 'Big 5' at 15 w/o trading up is pretty ideal. It was seemingly the fastest pick of the night, too, so it looks like they got their guy. Excited to see what he brings!

Jones is definitely Belichick and McDaniels type of player. And I am not Saban has sent Bill a bad pick yet

I'm always a bit wary of Alabama QBs projecting to the NFL.  With WRs like Devonta Smith, Jaylen Waddle, John Metchie, etc., Jones just gets to play a different game than other college quarterbacks.  He'll likely never have overwhelmingly dominant pass-catchers like that at the next level. 

Still, he can see the field and he has the arm.  We'll see what he does with it.  I'm not down on him... just cautious.

All traits which fit the Patriots system well. Don't miss on the passes you should hit, don't make negative plays. He can improve his long passing game with QB coaching and weight room training. Supposedly elusive like Brady in the pocket.
