I always believed the reports that Kyrie and Gordon would be 100% by the time training camp started. Both injuries were expected to be healed up by the end of July. I just never understood people saying that the Cake would bring them on slowly and not give them full reign until Christmas. I see them being 100% on opening day and getting 30 MPG straight from the start.
Yeah, I never understood that line of thinking either. No need to bring them along slowly if it's August and they're seemingly ready to go

What people mean is to allow them to take their time to get back into the whole swing of things, they dont have to go full blast into it all and slowly slowly get the whole feel of the game again which is not easy at this level. Both have been out for a while and come December, should likely be 80-100% ready. These injuries are not easy to get past and need to be careful with to avoid any disasters..

Completely disagree. They are physically 100%. They are doing all the physical activities that one needs to prove they can do to be back in the game. The last thing you want to do is coddle them and make them question their ability to perform. If the players feel they can perform up to the level they did before the injuries, you let them play.

The GM of the team is saying publicly they are 100% ready in August. You're just making your team worse by assuming they are at 80% at Christmas and limiting their play because of it when the players, the medical staff and the management are saying they are 100% ready to go now.

We need them at 110%.
Athletes always say they gave 110.
So there is still some room to grow.

Giving 110% and feeling 110% are different.

I surmise they have been cleared completely and are pain-free. They may need some time to shake the rust (moreso for Hayward, obviously), but they are ready to go.

I am joking, being happy with their successful rehabs.

If Hayward can shoot 3's and dunk while Kyrie can dribble in penetration and score from the perimeter, I see it 100%.

I think it should be taken as they are one hundred percent with respect to engaging in basketball activities, not that they are playing at one hundred percent of their ability level. We won't know that until we see them in real games.

Toward the end of the video, Forsberg mentions what Ainge said and but qualifies it by saying that Hayward and Kyrie are "still ramping themselves up because they have this time" to get themselves to where they want to be.
