Greg Monroe is no longer a Celtic. I still think we need a BIG in case Horford or Baynes goes down again. Will we sign anyone?

I'm sure the Cs will sign someone for the simple fact they need the non-guaranteed salary on the books to help with a potential AD trade salary match this off-season.

I don't think non-guaranteed salaries count for trade matching anymore.

Sad truth is we can’t sign anybody at this point who will really help us. Who’s available, floating around as a free agent right now?

Brad Stevens is allergic to signing big men who can't shoot 3's.

Hard pass.

Will someone be signed for the playoff roster? It might be good to add someone just for insurance.

I am definitely not the most knowledgeable cap guy around but I believe the idea is to sign someone to a non guaranteed contract that the C's will guarantee if they use him in trade this summer, if not needed they will be released before the guarantee date.  It would be like finding money on the street for someone like Thomas Robinson or whoever.

I'd rather have Williams play 3rd or 4th string center minutes than Moose. He was just a band aid while we had multiple injuries at the 5 spot.

Brad Stevens is allergic to signing big men who can't shoot 3's.

Yet the Celtics signed and then re-signed Aron Baynes.

Baynes has learned to try the occasional 3, but he's clearly not expected to take them often and it's not why he's on the team.

If Moose Monroe could play inside the 3-point line at anything approaching Baynes' level he would have been signed to a longer deal. He can't. Blaming his departure on his inability to shoot a three misses who he is as a player.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Nah, he's just allergic to garbage big men who can't play defense... Like Moose.

So then why did they bother signing him?

Sometimes, it seems this franchise has literally no direction.

so he can catch up with the rest of the team

didn't you see him chat up with pretty much everyone

all kidding aside, I have no clue either.  Should have just kept him
