Gersson Rosas is out as the Minnesota Timberwolves' president of basketball operations, the team announced Wednesday.
"Today, the Minnesota Timberwolves parted ways with President of Basketball Operations Gersson Rosas," team owner Glen Taylor said in a statement. "As an organization, we remain committed to building a winning team that our fans and city can be proud of."
The Wolves hired Rosas, a former Houston Rockets executive, in May 2019, making him the highest-ranking Latino in a front-office position.
The Wolves finished near the bottom of the Western Conference last season at 23-49.
I wonder if this is related to his inability to land a "big star". Taylor allegedly wanted to make a splash this off-season.
Might mean Edwards is now available in the Simmons trade.
