This is perhaps the single worst trade proposal that has ever been on this forum.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

This trade assumes John Wall is as much of an impact player as he was 5 years ago. Regardless of the box scores, I don't think that is true.

If he got traded to the Clippers, I'm not sure he would/should even start over Reggie Jackson.

I think Houston gets nothing more than empty contracts/poor contracts even if they can move John Wall.  His is probably the worst contract in the game.  This means Houston will be getting nothing useful for wall unless they add a ton of picks to move him which they do not want to do.  I personally think they get a stable of grant williams type players or worse if they move him at all.

Philly would genuinely be better off just letting Simmons sit out, because at least then they’d keep Thybulle.

At this rate 76ers are better off dealing Simmons to Wolves for Beasley, Edwards, McDaniels and a 1st.

Minny won’t give up Edwards.  Simmons is a good secondary star, but he is not worth gutting your team for.

I'm guessing Indiana would still do a Brogdon centered trade (they allegedly offered Brogdon and 13 for Simmons before the draft), Golden State would still do a Wiggins/Wiseman, etc.  There are plenty of trades out there for Simmons, Philly just hasn't been willing to do them.  Those type trades aren't going to disappear.  They will always be there so they don't need to do something is objectively terrible.

Gutting? They still have Russell and Towns. Simmons is perfect with those two guys. It puts them top 4 in the West most likely. They want defense and playmaking.

I'm a Simmons fan, but I'm not sure if that trade moves them from botton 3 to top 4 team in the West. I'd still take the Lakers, Warriors, Clippers, and Nuggets over them. I may take the Jazz, Mavs, and Suns as well.

This year that is probably true, but it also probably isn't true over the next several seasons where really only the Mavs (Doncic) and Nuggets (Jokic, Murray, Porter) are set up really long term with their core (and Dallas doesn't really have a core, Doncic is just that good).

Houston gets DeAaron Fox, Marcus Bagley & Matisse Thybulle

Why does Houston need to be involved?

Why not just Sacramento gets Ben Simmons, Philly gets DeAaron Fox & Marvin Bagley (and keeps Thybulle).  Wouldn't Philly prefer that outcome?
