I realize this is the kind of post that could make me look like a real moron 6 weeks from now, but they are playing really well and I got chance to see them a bit yesterday in an impressive win versus Heat.

KAT was in foul trouble yesterday, but seems like truly one of the elite shooters in the league and presents matchup problems for just about anyone

ANT is way better than I thought he was going to be when he was drafted. He seems to have a great competitive spirit in the mold of Butler and could really turn out to be a future star.

Russell seems to be playing a little more under control than years best

A few potentially nice role players in Beasely, Prince, Beverly (if he is not completely washed) and Vanderbilt.

Do they finally have some momentum and track on a western playoff this year?

They’ll be in the play-in.  Is that progress?  Or just a lowering of the bar so that they’re included?

Edwards was a great pick, and he’s only 20…

This.

Had they kept Jimmy Butler that would have been good.

Had they never traded for him (Maarkinen and LaVine) they would have
been better too

Towns seemingly needs a dog next to him.  He doesn't seem to have what it takes to be THE guy, but does seem to thrive next to someone who likes being the THE guy.  Butler was that guy and it appears Edwards has that mentality.  So as Edwards continues to mature and grow into his game, I do think the Wolves could be a good team.  Towns is one of the best offensive big men ever.  Edwards is a #1 pick that is really starting to look like a #1 pick.  Russel is talented and I like him a lot better as a 3rd option.  Beasley and Reid play their roles well.  So yeah, they may have figured some things out.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
