Sixers are in major danger of getting this wrong (wouldn't really be their fault) and driving Embiid to leave when his deal is up in 2023. Given the mockery they made of the league in the Hinkie years, I don't anticipate being too broken up about it.

I wonder if Towns and Embiid could play together.  That would be an interesting trade for both teams.  Straight up, Simmons for Towns.

If Towns and Embiid could play together, I think they'd be next to impossible for teams to guard and I like the fit of Simmons around all of the offensive players the Wolves have (Beasley, Edwards, Russell).
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Latest report on liberty ballers is he has been ignoring calls from Embid and only wants to play in California. This could turn into a real nightmare for 76ers.

Clippers or Kings. The Lakers seem to be all locked up.

Pity the team that ends up with this loser.

Hard to imagine a more emotionally fragile player in recent times. Won’t work on his skills, takes it personally if anyone says he could improve, and packs up and goes home when he is criticized. Man are we lucky to have Tatum and Brown with their personalities. (Embid also has a great attitude in general and seems like a hard worker).

Embiid and Towns is an absolutely nightmarish duo. How do you defend them??
