With the Lottery set I wanted to put my mock draft out before the "rumors" start flying.

1   Pistons   Cunningham (modern day Grant Hill?)
2   Rockets   Mobley (nice piece to start their rebuild with)
3   Cavs   Green (might be time to break up Sexton/Garland backcourt)
4   Raptors   Suggs (they couldn't pick a better lowry replacement,
5   Magic   Kuminga (the potential long term fit of Issac, Kuminga, and Moody is intriguing)
6   OKC      Barnes (love the idea of Barnes and Poku if both reach their ceilings)
7   GS   J Johnson (makes more sense for this pick to be traded in a win now type move)
8   Magic   M Moody (see Kuminga)
9   Kings   F Wagner (could be a solid long-term starter at the 3/4, opening them up to trade Barnes)
10   NO   D Mitchell (elite point of attack defender)
11   Hornets   Sengun (they need a big and he should be ready to contribute)
12   Spurs   Z Williams (at 6'10 his ceiling is a great grab in the late lottery)
13   Pacers   Giddey (size will allow him to play multiple positions and provide play making)
14   GS   J Springer (he will be in a great position to grown behind Steph and Klay)
15   Wizards   Kisper (Beal and Westbrook need help now and Kisper should provide that)
16   OKC   K Johnson ( athletic wings are always a sound bet)
17   Grizz   Murphy III (will feel like a reach but wings with his size and shot are rare)
18   OKC   I Jackson (only draft rumor ive seen is that he was shut down by OKC)
19   NYK   K Jones (good mitchell injury insurance for a team that values D)
20   ATL   Bouknight (bench scoring behind Trae seems like a smart investment)
21   NYK   J Butler (health issues may push him down or out but is a great pick in the 20s if cleared)
22   LAL   Garuba (should be ready to contribute and compliments AD really well)
23   Rockets   J Christopher (high ceiling Harden lite?)
24   Rockets   G Brown (another high ceiling pick to add to their rebuild)
25   LAC   McBride (great player to learn from and eventually replace Beverley)
26   Nuggets   C Thomas (young player who could develop into a great 6th man scoring option)
27   Nets   Cooper (his play making could make him a great 2nd unit creator for Nets)
28   76ers   Duarte (NBA ready wing who can shoot and hopefully play a Danny Green role)
29   Suns   T Mann (Pg depth for post CP3)
30   Jazz   Juzang (wing who can shoot)

TP! I expect it’s going to be one of those drafts with a ton of trades, especially in the lottery. I don’t expect Cleveland to use their pick if Mobley is off the board, and I could see Orlando using their two picks to move up. Warriors may also try to move their picks for a veteran player.

Who’s got upside that’s a good draft and stash option? 18-19 year old Euroleaguer?

I posted this in 2021 Draft thread:

ESPN has us taking Rokas Jokubaitis, a 6'4" point guard out of Lithuania, with the 45th pick.  He reminds me of Goran Dragic, but more of a distributor.

Fran Fraschilla, who is an overseas draft expert, is pretty high on this kid, who is 19 years old.  Below is some video.

I see Mitchell as a potentially elite point of attack defender a skill that should find him on an All NBA defensive team in his career. However he measured 6' (barefoot) 202lbs with a 6'4 wingspan. His lack of height or outlier length will limit him in the NBA. Suggs was measured in 2018 to be 6'3 194lbs with a 6'5 ws and has likely grown some since then. Given the high level D that Suggs displayed in college and his size that should allow him to defend 1-3 (like Jrue Holiday) I consider Suggs a better defensive and overall prospect.

I also think Suggs and Vanvleet will compliment each other extremely well.

Who you got at 45, bro?

Its so hard to guess who will be available in the 2nd round with teams making 2-way deals or needing to draft and stash.

The realistic guys who I hope the Cs have a chance to grab and consider are,

Isaiah Todd, G-League ignite big who measured 6'8.75(no shoes) 219lbs with 7'1.25 ws. As a 19yr old he already proven in the G-league that he can shoot and produce with NBA spacing. I really like the idea of developing him as a 3pt shooting rim protecting big of the future.

Marcus Bagley, USC freshman who measured small then expected at 6'6 (NS) 217lbs with a 6'11ws. Despite being slightly smaller then expected he still has enough size to play both forward positions where he can provide athleticism and floor spacing.

Herb Jones, Alabama forward who at 6'6 with a 7'.025"ws has the size and versatility to defend at a high level 2-4. His shot will be a question mark but his role player potential is really intriguing.

Yves Pons
, position less player from from Tenn who is a freak athlete and could be developed into a PJ Tucker like role player.

Per The Athletic's Sam Vecenie, Cade Cunningham and Jalen Green are both on Detroit's radar at this stage of the predraft process.

Am I the only one not 100% sold on Cunningham as the number one pick. He looks a little slow.

TP for spelling everyone’s name correctly. As a Gonzaga fan I was getting tired of seeing Corey Kispert’s in the mocks as Cory Krisper, among others.

Wow. BJ Boston’s stock has really taken a hit since 2020! Kinda like the Celtics. I have seen a couple of mocks with him in the 40s now. He was projecting as a borderline lottery pick before this season.
