In one year we've morphed from "gritty overachievers" to playing like a team that just won 3 straight championships and is coasting through a 52-30 season because they expect to turn it on in the playoffs.
It's a preseason game without Kyrie. I don't think we learned anything new, it was just going through the motions.

Few overreactions hanging around

I didn't see the game but read these descriptions the same way.

I don't think Brad has ever had a team like this where the talent level and expectations are both sky high - so he may be going through this for the first time as a coach.  And yes, there's a huge difference between Game 7's where talent really matters (remember our gritty team clanking shot after shot off the rims), regular season and pre-season.  But none of that takes away from the fact that they've played like crap through the first 3 pre-season games.  And Hayward has more than a little rusty - which is certainly no surprise.

Definitely not time to be concerned, but it's not a great beginning, you can't get around that. And I do think they have too many decent players. Nice problem to have but one or more aren't going to be too happy with their lack of minutes.

We have to remember that the 2010-2011 Miami Heat had a rough start with their newly formed Big 3 and team.

Preseason is the time to figure it out. We'll have some slumps here and there, but as long as all our guys are healthy, Brad Stevens will figure out the rotations and what will be happening on the floor.

This is going to be a very, very dangerous-contending team when their chemistry gels.

Precisely. Not every team can just gel instantly like our '08 team did, which is probably part of the reason why early expectations may be a little lofty

not worried....but I do remember last year's preseason...Hayward wasn't meshing too well back then either.

On the bright side, at least I didn't pay money to sit in the stands.
