We're just missing wide open 3's.  3 for 17 from 3.

same BS we saw in game 7 last year

THEN ADJUST!

coaches are fired all over the sports world because it all lies at their feet at the end of the day.

that is a fact whether we want to accept it or not.

They need a different coach. I've beaten this horse so much it's almost glue, but the dude can't coach the team through adversity.

it all lies at his feet. i am at wits end with brad. i cannot argue with you on that.  he is seeming to be the common denominator.
I don’t see that.  This mess is first and foremost a player issue.  Pieces simply do not fit.

No, the players are manageable. They just need the proper direction and guidance. Brad not clarifying roles from Day 1 and being unable to even motivate the team to play with energy is a pretty significant indictment on his ability to coach this team.

We're legitimately looking at a first round exit as the 5 seed at this point, as these players clearly don't trust each other or play as a team.
Yeah, we’re not going to agree here.  This is a players league.  No spot up shooter on the entire roster.  Almost all of them need to push the ball to score.  No great shooter.  No specialist.

Pieces just don’t fit.  This really can’t be argued against.

I mean, it can, because this virtually identical team made it work last year with the only real difference being the addition of the jack-of-all-trades Hayward, which clearly shouldn't throw off the fit this much.

The main difference is the motivation and overall character of this team from last year. The pieces fit fine from a basketball perspective - it's the character/personality perspective where the team does not fit, which is something that can be managed by better coaching, such as the coach actually clarifying roles and taking a more authoritative approach with making sure the team is disciplined.

I like brad but kinda agree.  We need a stronger coach for this team.  What’s Marc Jackson doin theses days?

Oh God no. I'd much rather sit through Brad's continuous in-game brain farts for the rest of my life than watch Jackson out there.

And it's unfair to put the blame solely on Brad, too. I think having such a young and inexperienced coaching staff is also part of his problem. And I think he doesn't even have any former players on his coaching staff now that Walter left. That's a problem, I think.
I know it might not be a popular opinion, but if Luke Walton got fired I would go for him as an assistant coach. Former player, been involved in success, and I think he is actually coaching well. There's only so much you can do when the GM and the President side with a player over you, and try to do his bidding rather than help you out.

Plus, his dad was pretty helpful for us.

Brad just loves Rozier you can here him "good job" from the side lines....

Rozier can go pack his bag and leave with Brad Stevens.

Mods, can you please do us a favor and ban the folks suggesting we should fire CBS and hire Mark Jackson. Would be greatly appreciated, thanks!  :P

JAJAJA!!! saying Jeff Van Gundy or Marc Jackson coulda been better, ya all smoking weed!!, brad is a different kind of animal in the playoffs, and yes the celtics will go to the finals, you hear heere first, GO CELTICS!!!!

Yeaaaaaah no Brad almost got himself on the hot seat two years ago when the #1 Celtics lost two home games to the #8 Bulls in the playoffs. It took an injured Rondo to have any chance. His playoff record was like 2-10 at the time lol.

And then dragged the Wizards to 7 games before getting dismantled by the Cavs.

Rozier continues to disappoint, even in garbage time.  Why does Brad continue to let him run the team when Hayward is on the floor.  It makes no sense.

TP....best of the night!

They didn't have any of that last year when they won 16 in a row. There is more going on than just a question of talent.

Exactly.

The only thing that has changed is the mentality, character, and entitlement of the team. Failing to clarify roles and effectively manage the talent is the main difference here. Granted, it's not an easy job, but it's unclear that Brad has done anything different from the start of the year to try and get to these guys.

Rozier goes for another steal and let's his man drive to the hoop. I could type that 15 times a game...

So do you think we change the starters tomorrow or does Brad just keep having his head up his rear?

36-13 2nd quarter. Yikes. The game was effectively over at that point.

Coincided with a certain backup guard playing as the sole point guard  ::)

Pascal Siakam could have a good night, important to neutralize him.

Lets go Celtics!

Wow, I nailed it about Pascal Siakam.

But I didn't expect the Celtics to bend down and rollover to the Raptors. This Celtics team look like first-round fodders right now.
