Portland would like some constructive criticism of its roster, as well:

C: Shaq
PF: J. O'Neal
SF: Rashard
SG: Redd
PG:  Bibby

Bench:  Manu/Miller/Delonte/Gomes/Turiaf

as a division rival i believe this is the best team. they are long and i LOVE my boy Redd (buckeye alum like me)....he is the steal of the draft...lewis is always a tough match up and i like getting shaq over hawes.

they have a real scorer off the bench (manu), a grinder in miller and a starter in west.

i like what they have done so far..to the point i almost offered a deal to them for one of their players...they just need to stay healthy (manu)

Toronto Raptors
Pg:Andre Miller/Aaron Brooks
SG:Arron Afflalo
SF:Ron Artest
PF:Kevin Garnett
C:Marcus Camby/Big Z

What do you all think?

I do recognize Afflalo is the weak point of my starting 5 however I think you can do alot worse than a defensive guy that can shoot threes

Don't think I'm missing the irony here, but who scores for your starting lineup? Only horrible things happen when Artest is asked to score every night, we've all seen how KG isn't the scoring dynamo he once was, and Camby/Miller are both less than talented scorers.

The only guy on my roster that averaged less than 10 a game is Afflalo and I think his numbers will go up significantly as he is given a chance to start in Denver, so I am not worried about scoring

I like how your team fits together very nicely. TP running the show, Rudy the wing scoring option. Lopez in the post, Diaw's got versatility, and Cook can hit jumpers. My main worry is post defense besides Lopez. I dont think Bargnani or Diaw can guard big, strong power forwards.

T-Wolves self assesments:

1. yes, we are undersized in the front court but lee and randolph are usually strong in the blocks. i worry about randolph's defense and his heart. but the lure of 2 guys that are double double machines down low was too much to pass up, esp in the 6th round.

2. i like nelson and salmons in the backcourt...jefferson is jefferson. he usually is solid at the SF

remember...we didn't have a true first round pick (it would have been brandon roy),  and have had to make everything else up  as we go. my goal today was to get randolph and hibbert but couldn't find a way to get back into the 7th round.

i am backloaded with picks so i am hoping to make up some ground. we won't be as good as portland but i am hoping to be one of the top 8 in the west

And if you take into account Brooks' playoff scoring that was 18 points a game.  And that is on a depleted Houston Team against playoff caliber oponents obviously

So who is your highest scorer, how much does he average?

Ilgauskas-13
Camby-11
Brooks-11   17 in playoffs
Afflalo-5  has a good chance to start in Denver, shot 40% from 3

I love your C, SF, and PG options.  I'm not as sold on Cooke as a starter (like him off the bench, though).  I've never been a huge fan of Diaw, but I seem to be the only one.

I think it's a solid team for the future that will get better as more pieces are added.

I like the additions to teh bench. Duhon is the point guard on the hottest hot seat right now in the NBA, and the fact that while he got 11 and 7 nobody is happy with him should tell you something.

I like the inside out thing you've got going on, but wonder A) how AK47 fits in, B) If he's even really that good, and C) How spikey will his hair be.

2009 Fake Phoenix Suns:

PG: Ramon Sessions-26-28 minutes, only at 1
SG: James Harden-28 mins or so, only at SG
SF: Josh Howard-30 mins, only at SF
PF: Big Al-35-37 mins, some at C
C: Joel Pryzbilla-28 mins, all at C

Bench:
Travis Outlaw-30 mins-mostly at 3, some at 4
Roger Mason Jr-20 mins-mostly at 2, some at 1
Nate Robinson-20 mins, mostly at 1, some at 2
Marreese Speights-13-15 mins, mostly at 4, some at 5
Darko Milicic-5-7 mins, mostly at 5, maybe 1 at 4

Goal with different rotations: Never put guys in positions where you ask them to do things they can't.

What am I missing?

Leadership. ;)

The thought had occurred to me. Brandon Roy turns this into the best team in the west (or a guy like Brandon Roy)...I guess I just have to hope Big Al takes those reigns. Otis Smith did it with Dwight Howard and they made it to the finals.

Constructively, I think you're missing more than one player to move to the top of the West.  I think the team is a little too raw.

Like what are you thinking?

I think you need a couple more rugged, battle tested guys.  Only Howard has been deep into the playoffs, I think, and since then he's devolved into a lackadaisical pot head.

I think you've got maybe too many young players, none of whom (outside of Big Al) have reached truly elite status.  That's a bad recipe, because I think it's hard to determine a pecking order.

If I were you, I'd make my goal in future rounds to grab leadership type guys, maybe who have lesser numbers but who can teach the young guys what it means to play in the league.
