Based on a bit of a slip in play, I'd really like to see a move be made. Not a major one, but it seems there are quite a few players to be had on the cheap side, and I think we'd do well to pick up some of those players.

Chris Broussard: "Even if Dwight Howard walks for nothing, the Lakers will still have a nice amount of cap space to attract some free agents in 2014."

2014-15 salaries:
Kobe: $30m
Pau: $19m
Nash: $9m

Sorry, Chris. This is why we laugh at you.

I would definitely be interested in sending a second round pick for Steve Blake. He would be a nice back up point at only 4 mil a year this year and next year.

No fillers on this team though. Driving me trade deadline crazy.

Haha hilarious. Also add Artests player option of 7.7 to that list which I wouldnt see why he wouldnt pick that up.

58 mil between Kobe Pau and Nash is already over the cap right?

66 mil between four players, they could definitely sign a max free agent right Broussard?

Realistic Dream Trade.

Barbosa and Lee to Memphis for TE. We then take said trade exception and absorb Tyreke Evans and send Fab Melo to the Kings. Saves the Kings like 4 million dollars this season. They're obviously in money saving mode with the T-Rob deal.

Ebanks is a-okay for me for a 2nd rounder

According to Hoopshype, the salaries you listed are for 2013-2014.  The Lakers have only Nash's $9.7m on the books in LeBron Summer II.

http://hoopshype.com/salaries/la_lakers.htm

It's not a secret that Buss the Younger is pining for LeBron to take over for Kobe, either with or without a re-upped Dwight Howard.
