Was Ray Allen. Where did Danny find this kid. He looks great, he has a really nice shooting stroke, Nice form. It just seems like when the ball leaves his hand, it's going in.

Better lock him up long term now, before he costs us a fortune.

But seriously, We really have the best player since the deadline. Jamison stunk it up, hopefully he keeps it up. And ray looks like he's 25 again.

Yeah that dunk against the Lakers was sick. Ray still has some hops.

Maybe this was all Ray's plan.  Play at 60% til the deadline so he wouldn't get traded and now play at 100% like normal Ray Ray.
do it

Since the deadline it could be argued that the entire Celtics team has been re-acquired, especially defensively

Nice team see Ray shooting freely and on target again but also nice to see stifling Celtic defense again as well
Pick 2 Knicks

PG: George Hill, Ty Lawson
SG: Ray Allen, Anthony Parker, Quentin Richardson
SF: Grant Hill, Matt Barnes, D
PF: Zach Randolph, Kenyon Martin, Jon Brockman, Dante Cunningham
C:  Nene Hilario,   Own rights: Nikola Pekovic IR: Kyle Weaver

I don't think the defense ever went away.

What has been big is KG has looked good the last two games. He's got a lot more lift and has been banging on both ends of the court. This has helped the C's rebound respectably.

Ray Allen clearly feels a heck of lot better knowing he will be with the C's till the end this year.

The defense has been lacking, uninspired in stretches this season; even the players would admit that

They were still one of the best defensive team in the league.

It was the offensive end that killed us, long scoring lulls gave other teams momentum and transition baskets.

One thing I'll say is good defense leads to easy offense, there hasn't been a ton of that this year

biggest acquisition at the deadline was KG's good knees, he looks great, which is why everything else looks great now. The rest of the league better look out, the C's are back.

Sometimes, but not as often with a team that doesn't have a lot of guys who run the break consistently.

More importantly for the Celtics, good offense leads to half-court set defense. After the Celtics make a bucket they can avoid transition and grind on the other team. Our offensive lapses hurt our defense.

I guess it goes both ways, but you're right, that's why 3's can be so dangerous, as the long rebound leads to the break... But I still maintain good D leads to good fast break offense (or maybe with this team secondary break offense), especially when you have a guard of Rondo's capacity in the open floor
