Pierce trying to talk his way back into playing.  They are deciding on that now.

There's no point to just playing Pierce.  He could use a week's rest too.

If they're going to rest the starters, they might as well sit Baby too. He looks like he needs it.

Well, here's the starting lineup:

Interesting, EEI's web site says at least KG, RA and RR will sit, with BBD, JG, and DW replacing them.  Would be interesting to see Pierce and Green starting together, given how much Ray has been struggling.  (Not that I expect Doc to take him out of the starting rotation.)

Note: Never mind, now that Washburn's tweet, above, looks more recent.

Seriously? Excellent. I wasn't going to watch this game but I'll tune in to see the supporting cast in extended minutes. Always fun to see what the bench guys can do in a larger role.

Very much looking forward to the Von Wafer + Jeff Green partnership offensively. I think those will complement one another nicely.

Poor Wafer's been in the wilderness so long, I hope he can keep his composure.

Meanwhile, what's the over/under on Baby's first quarter shot count?

TP, FL

Let's go Celtics!!

Big Baby is going to look fit like Ray Allen with all those minutes. He must hate Doc, hehehehe.

It could be a good thing for Rondo to watch the game from the bench and figure out what they are doing bad. Resting the whole Big 4 won't help that way, but the rest will be good for them.

Ha!

I put him at 5 shots per quarter. 5 1/2 in the first is the O/U.

Tp to FL for a fantastic job as always.  I hope that resting the Big 4 works in our favor.  Go Celtics!

I understand where Green Hell is coming from, and I'll take the over, predicting 6 1st Q shots for Baby.

I'm actually pretty excited too...I especially want to see Jeff Green. Maybe he'll be a little bit more loose with no pressure.

Ha!  10-2 and Baby's the only Celtic without a shot yet!  (We'll see how long that lasts...)

just like yesterday, but this time Baby is already in the game... how is Doc going to mess with the rotation to make the Wizards back into the game? It will require a lot of creativity.

Go Celtics!!
