For JO playing so well his +/- was a surprising -11.

thats why stats can be horrible indicators of how a guy impacts a game

Operative word in my post is "can" which is different from "always" "certain" etc.

Wrong. That's why +/- is just a horrible stat. And adjusted plus/minus isn't any better.

Stuff like TS%, rebound %, and wins produced, on the other hand, are invaluable. But hey, you can keep painting all statistics with the same broad brush.
Still don't believe in Joe.

and in the role of Kendrick Perkins tonight, Jermaine Oneal!!!

Yep.  I really think he proved that tonight.  He's not as good as Kendrick at straight up man-to-man defense, but he's a superior shot blocker, and that helps.

Luckily our next two opponents at least won't require him to play much man-to-man D.  Neither NY, Miami, or Chicago can exploit his matchups much, and his help D will be really useful against all of them.

I'm psyched we got the W.  I'll take it one game at a time.  Just about all my little heart can handle.
Celtics fan for life.

And for all the Baby negativity, he led the team with a +13 (I assume that's been mentioned here already but i didn't see it).

biggest stat of the night, after scoring over 50 in the first half, Knicks finish the game with 85 points. I'll take that every night this series.

True - but I'm feeling a lot better about our starting center spot than I was 24 hours ago  :)

Although speaking of which - any updates on Krstic?  Last I heard his knee was hurting and he didn't play in the 2nd.

Seriously though, not trying to call anybody out, but can we pretty please stop giving up on games before they're over from now on?  Or seasons?  At least against the freaking Knicks?

Great win and an awesome finish.  I knew Melo was short as soon as he let it go.  Beautiful W.

That one looked serious to me.  Surprised Mike & Tommy didn't talk more about it.
