Pryzbilla from Portland to the Boston Celtics for Scalabrine and either Glen Davis or Leon Powe.

This move provides the Celtics with a back-up center to Kendrick Perkins and provides Portland some cap relief as Scalabrine's contract is less expensive and one year shorter than Pryzbilla.

Additionally, there may not be a spot in the Trailblazers rotation for Pryzbilla this coming season with the expected return of Oden.

The Celtics will need to use their trade exception from the Delonte West deal to make this trade work.

I'd make this trade.

Your first ever post is a police post. lol. You have a good point, but I think that as a first post that was a funny choice.

The blazers already have too many players. And would they want Scal? I doubt it. I would love to get Pryzbilla, though.

another thing: we have too many undersized power forwards. powe and BBD are essentially redundant. If we could trade one of them for a true center that'd be awesome.

The Blazers have too may big men. With Oden returning, Frye becomes the back-up. Aldridge at PF with Travis Outlaw backing him up and they still have Josh McRoberts.

Additionally, the Blazers need to get shorter and cheaper contracts on their bench because Roy, Aldrige and Oden will be up for new contracts in 2 years.

So basically trade the 12th man on the roster.

Portland
C  ODEN/Frye/McRoberts/LaFrentz
PF Aldridge/Outlaw/BBD
SF Webster/Scal
SG Roy/Sergio
PG Blake/J JAck

Celtics

C  Perkins/Pryzbilla
PF KG/Powe
SF Pierce/Posey
SG Allen/Allen
PG Rondo/House/Pruitt

Like it, but i think Portland can get a better deal.

(And as a backup center, I'd rather wait and see if Bird waives Rasho.)

I like Joel alot I think he would fit in great  in our system with his defense and rebounding abilities. As far as what I would give up Scal defenitly, Big Baby probably, Powe I don't know. I think Powe has a solid upside. But if we were able to get Blake with Joel i would defenitly look into that one.

Maybe they can - they do need depth at the 2/3.

The Celtics are limited in the trade market. Would Channing Frye be easier to obtain?

A guy like PJ Brown would make Frye cry in the practices.

Thank you for the welcome.

I didn't say it to be a jerk, but the next 24 hours are going to be very active in the NBA, and I think we all want to avoid wasting time by keeping Celtic news and Trade Ideas in their rightful subforum.

I thought this was a major tidbit of news until I opened it.

Pyrzbilla would be a good fit IMO - but I agree that the Blazers wouldn't take that package.
God bless and good night!

why would anyone in their right mind want to trade leon powe?  apparently common sense has left the building...

I don't think Powe is untouchable by any means, especially considering there's no way we can keep him past next year, if the right deal manifests itself, I'd be willing to part with the guy....
