Indiana might as well just give Turner away for nothing in this trade scenario.

OK, Timelord and #14 for Turner.

Upgrades their defense, gets them far enough below tax lines to resign their free agents and adds a lotto pick. I think that is very fair value for Turner

And add Luke Kennard from Detroit to Boston and the deal is really equitable to all four teams

I don’t think Hayward + #14 is going to get us Turner, Kennard and #7

What’s Williams worth at this point?  Not a lot.

Continually injured pending free agent + backup center + #14

for

Good starting center signed for 3 years + 16 ppg / 40% 3pt% wing + #7

technically it is Wiliams, #14 and a large TPE for Turner. (Indiana has no capspace to resign their guys without going into tax, this saves them 16 million, gets them a lotto pick and a young cheap backup center)

Its Hayward and #26 for #7

Yeah if detroit wants to add salary it would have to be snell, KEnnard is an overpay on their part.

Values are:

GSW gains Hayward and #26, saves massive money on the #2 pick (9 million) and the 95 million owed to Wiggins

Detroit gets #2 that they really want bad (I am assuming Ball?) add a young scorer on the wing who Casey knows how to work with. Team is young so Wiggins does not hurt them too much, but #7 and a tpe will not get them the pick on its own, and they have nothing to offer GSW.

Boston give GSW what they need (playmaking, sharp shooter who can defend at the wing)
Detroit gets what they want at the cost of salary space(that they wont use and #7)
Boston creates a TPE and gets pick #7

I think it is fair all around.

The Turner part can be just left out completely if Okongwu is on the board at 7

Then its Kemba and picks for Jrue and Reddick

I'm taking more of a simplistic approach:

#1:  Hayward, Romeo (hate doing this one) to Pacers / Turner to Celtics:  Thought process is, Romeo is as good if not better than the 14 this year and right now.  Nope, doesn't pass the dreaded trade machine, but I'm not a GM either.  They can make it work.

#2:  Kemba, 14, 26 to the Pelicans / Jrue to the Celtics.  I'm not really a big fan of this, but people I'm following are bigger on Jrue than Kemba.

Still leaves the 30 for a project big, maybe Carey out of Duke if he's still there.....

Indiana cannot take on any salary more than what there are sending out, that is their biggest issue. They want to resign their guys and fill out their roster and taking on more cap puts them at the lux tax.

When did Turner become a 16 ppg scorer? More like 12 ppg.  This board exaggerates his value.

These trades get real complicated.

In looking at just the Detroit and GSW piece, the premise is that Detroit gets Wiggins and the #2 from GSW for the #7 (this has been a part of other trade ideas also).  That would be great for Detroit, they move up from #7 to #2, where they can get a premier prospect it seems relative to #7, and they get a player, albeit on a bad contract, to boot.  It seems GSW could do better, much better.
