Well Roy first, I think you did a great job of picking out images.  What I see is a guy who has the size to protect the paint, but he's still going to let more athletic PFs to get by to the rim.  In other words, he's an average defender but at least he takes up space.  Combine that with his good rebounding numbers and outside shooting, it seems Murphy is going to be a net plus for this team.

I especially like his defense in the one where he's getting blocked by Brand.

In the Gasol one is he just making his normal crying llama face or does he think Murphy's defense is so weak he can dunk with his eyes closed?
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

Nice, but just check out his playoff defense:

tp
priceless!

I am happy to have him a celtic!  Any defensive issues will be nullified with our team defense along with great individual defense of rondo and garnett.

Miami is quaking in their boots.

Sincerely, I think that Jeff Green or BBD will play against younger more athletic PF's. This move is all about match ups and last names.

He has never been in the playoffs but everyone gets beat in the NBA sometimes.  He will get beat more than Perk.

Even defensive studs get owned.  Funny how memories are better than reality but it almost works that way.

My point is everyone gets beat once in a while against NBA talent.  Murph is going to be beat more than once in a while.  But there will be less offensive rebounds for the other team.
