The Chicago Bulls have reached an agreement with the OKC Thunder  with a thad young for Abdel Nader swap. OKC will use their trade exemption to make this trade work.
Thad Young's salary for next season is $13,545,000.

The Thunder have 3 trade exceptions:
$10,389,997 (expires 7/10/20)
$9,346,153 (expires 7/8/20)
$1,620,564 (expires 1/25/21)

None of them is big enough to absorb Young's salary. They cannot combine them together to acquire Young. They cannot combine them with another player either. That's not how trade exceptions work.

The player going out must fit full into the trade exception. Technically, both Young and Satoransky are partially guaranteed. That could save like 13 million right there, but you are going to have to trade someone while receiving little to no salary back. Not easy to do.

I’m fairly sure Young is fully guaranteed for next season.  The partial guarantee is for the final year of his deal.  Same is true of Satoransky.

I've heard that the Lakers will not offer on Paul Milsap, but another surprise suitor has surfaced: the Sixers. They'd need to shed some salary but they like his fit next to Embiid better than Horford.

The Atlanta Hawks have tenured a four year, 90M contract to Bogdon Bogdonavic of the Kings and Bogdon has signed it. The Kings have 48 hours to match.

The Kings have declined to match this contract, officially making Bogdon an Atlanta Hawk.

Bogdon's role will be to run the offense at a high level when Trae Young is off the court. His shooting should work exponentially off of Trae Young to form a new exciting backcourt.

Brandon Ingram is reportedly looking for a max from the pelicans.

This is a bargain deal for the Clips! I would expect Harrell to sign for around 20 mil per year (if not even more).

The Orlando Magic have agreed to a 4 year, 33M contract with Joe Harris

(This deal was arbitrated by Roy H.)
Great deal for the Magic as well!

Imo, these are the most team-friendly deals thus far.

Woj "I'm hearing that Chicago has found a way to carve enough cap space to sign Christian Wood to a 4 year, 104M contract. He's officially off the market.

I've also heard rumblings that five teams have agreed on a massive trade. Chicago appears to be part of that trade. Wood will officially sign once the trade is complete."
