Many people blame Danny Ainge for breaking up the starting 5 core.. I partly agree. It made a huge impact on the big 4 when they traded away Perkins, but they came over it in the playoffs.(pretty much..)

Then again, we also traded away Nate Robinson, better known as Donkey, and we kept BigBaby, known as Shrek. mby that's one of the main reasons why Glen Davis struggled in the postseason, because he had never played a big role in the playoffs, without Nate.
And our title hopes could only become true with a great bench.. Glen Davis was our bench.

And not only on-court, but offcourt. You remember the the pranks Nate pulled of? He was umbuntu! He fired up the bench, the crowd.. the whole team, even the opposing teams coach(haha)!

Perkins is one of my fav. players, and he'll allways be one, and also one of the reason we didn't win it. But Nate played a huge role too.

Agree?
Doc's gonna tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear.

Yeah iknow, my username is Kendrick Perkins and my ranking is Jeff Green. Ironic huh?

No Baby was great in 08-09 without Nate.

I don't agree, but you could point to the record throughout the season to make a compelling case that the loss of NateRob and not Perkins was the reason that the Cs did poorly after the trade.

but he was better in 09/10 with him.. i mean, mental, nate can give a huge spark to a team, something we missed in the postseason..

We were too old and too banged up/tired. Noone did anything wrong. Everyone gave it their all with the exception of Davis. Nate had nothing to do with it.

how much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck was chris bosh?

What happened was we had no answer for LeBron.

Did I really say that?  Well I guess we've gotta live with that.

This is completely true.  The guy was hitting contested 40ft three pointers in key, deciding moments of game 4 and 5.  It was Herculean, what he was doing.

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.
Well, yeah, we didn't have a center other than Jermaine. Doc decided Kristic was not worthy of playing any more than 5 minutes the entire Heat series, and all we had was KG and Big Baby. Davis can't play center. KG can play center, but it depends of the match up.

Ainge blew it by putting all faith in Shaq. That was not a very smart idea. Then he signed PF Troy Murphy, who Doc decides is not worthy of playing time either. If Ainge could have signed a real center (Dalembert, anyone?), we could've had banner 18. Or even if Doc utilized Murphy properly (I could be wrong, I believe Murphy was not conditioned).

I'd rather have KG play the 4 than the 5, because he excels there. What's going to happen when Jermaine sits down for a breather? Mr.Davis comes in at the center.
I like Marcus Smart

the trade wasn't necessarily the issue.....but the timing of the trade was.  along with injuries.

i blame danny bc of the timing and falsely banking on the health of shaq

Now we're trying to blame it on Nate being part of the trade?
