I had forgotten he was already 30. Seems like it was just yesterday that he was working his way up through the organization.
Obviously a bit of an overpay by the Yankees, but if Ellsbury can stay healthy, he is a great lead-off and centerfielder. The Yankees can afford it, especially if they officially get out of the ARod mess.
There will be some new faces on the Sox next year, but it looks like they will maintain their solid core. I am sorry to see Jacoby go, but we knew this was going like three years ago. Luckily we finished off his last season the best way possible.
