I don’t want to jump to conclusions, but he’s looking like a lighter version of Draymond
-
Can we have a moratorium on comparing every single slightly undersized PF to Draymond Green? This kid's game really doesn't look like Draymond at all.
He looks good so far. It'll take more than 3 preseason games before we can say not drafting him was a "mess up" though.

Sure, except for the fact he can't shoot, dribble, or pass he looks exactly like Draymond.

You saw Semi go 4-7 from 3 and play solid D the other night...did you not?

Well as long as you aren't jumping to conclusions...

I think both guys are 2nd round steals that should've gone in the 1st round. The Bulls sold this pick for cash when they desperately need talent. That's the saddest part of the story. The Bulls need a good front office cleaning. I think Semi might fit Brad's system better because of his shooting but Jordan Bell looks like he's going to a good energy big. The Warriors are not as in need of shooting and just need some hustle off the bench.

Not until we have one for comparing every 6'11-7'0+ guy from Europe who can shoot threes to Dirk Nowitzki .

At least most of these Dirk guys are tall and can shoot. Some of the Draymond guys are total opposites as players. Pretty crazy.

Kuzma is the guy I wish we took

Blasphemy. Every white guy over 6'11 who has good form IS Dirk. They just need to realize it. Mark my words, Andrea Bargs is gonna put it together one day.

Kuzma was taken at 27 and we didn't pick until 37.

How could we have taken a player at #37 that was already gone at #27? I'll wait.

Somewhere on the internet some silly fan is starting a thread "Did (insert the name of their team's GM) mess up by not taking Semi Ojeleye?

I will sign that petition.

As long as we're going down the all star comparison route , wouldn't a better one be a better offensive version of Ben Wallace, albeit 15/16 pounds lighter? Just thought that I'd go ahead and throw that one out there .

You think we should have taken him with the 1st or, after the trade, with the 3rd pick of the draft?
He wasn't available when Semi was picked.

Duh, trading back into the draft.

His passing is better than Jokic and his D compares to KG.
I dont know whom we are talking about  , but if Danny missed on him, he must be GOAT material ;)

trading back again from #3 or trading some future asset just to make another 2nd round pick for a marginal player when we already had an overloaded roster where we had to purge AB for cap room and let several other players on the roster go so that we'd be in a position to sign Hayward?

Obviously, lol - TP, man . A 6'9 version of Nerlens Noel without the knee issues is probably a better, albeit similarly lofty, comparison, anyway .

Jordan bell
In less minutes than semi (12 per game)
4.5 pts / 3.1 rb/ 1.4 assist/ 1.1 block
Semi in 14 minutes
2.6 pts / 2.1 rb / 0.2 assists
-
Can Jordan bell do this?

I will wait

These guys both landed in perfect situations.
I loved Bell in the draft but Semi is the guy for us.
You're over-thinking it.
-
This is a really weird thread. Two guys that have shown flashes and weren't even available at the same in the draft?

Bell was drafted one spot after Semi.

not just that but bell was acquired for cash. We could have gotten both guys
-
I'm going to say no. Bell is probably more talented, but Semi is playing a role that Bell could not have -- defending several different positions while operating as a spot up shooter and hustle guy on the offensive end.
So far, Semi looks to me like a very raw version of Jae Crowder, which is high praise for any first year second round pick. He probably has higher upside defensively, too, given that he's significantly taller (and even more built) than Crowder.
-
Bell can defend the post, something we are lacking. Semi appears to be a better perimeter defender.
At this point, neither gives you much of anything offensively. Bell is showing that he is an elite shot blocker.
I was big on drafting Bell later in the draft up until the Final 4. On back to back free throw misses in the UNC game, Kennedy Meeks (iirc) went over Bell's back and got game changing rebounds in the last few seconds. A leaper like him just can't let that happen, especially in the most important moments of his career to date.
