Well, if it's other NBA players answering the questions, then I have to go by what they say. I mean, I have to figure they know more about Peirce and KG than we do. Who knows how much trash they talk on court.

I have no problem with it either btw.

Good point.  TP.

I dunno if anyone looked at the other categories, but according to the scouts/gms and the coaches, Rondo is the second best on ball defender in the league. I always considered Rondo to be at his best off ball but it's nice to see him get the recognition.

I see a lot of Celtics on those lists. Pierce was ranked 2nd most clutch player behind Kobe by the players, coaches, and GM's.
PHX Suns: Russell Westbrook, Chris Bosh, Tristan Thompson, Trevor Ariza, Tony Allen, Trey Lyles, Corey Brewer, Larry Nance Jr., Trey Burke, Troy Daniels, Joffrey Lauvergne, Justin Holiday, Mike Muscala, 14.6

Every single player in NBA is a trash talker and Pierce will not be an exception.

I think trash-talking in NBA is a kind of mental war.

Game 6. ECF 2008
how bout RaSheed uttering a censored word to an ESPN camera when he got himself in the bench being foul trouble.

Jeff V.G. even heard that and want to put a T. Foul to Sheed.

Larry Bird invented "trash talking" and was pretty good at it. If PP is a trash talker, so be it. Bird was a fairly good player. PP isn't so bad himself.

yes. they cannot play the audio from court side because all they do is swear at each other.

Yeah, it's funny to see then try, only to have a very loud swear begin, and get muted half way through thanks to 5 second recording delay.  My TV always plays the mic from the net swishing a second before the floor mics, but anyway..

It seems to me the only reason Pearce is on that list at 2 and KG 1 is that trash talk sticks with you a lot more when you weren't able to do anything about it.  Last year, Peace wouldn't have made the top 30, because he was talking less (losing so many games,) and opponents were listening even less than that!

Just another reason old sports cliches stick around.  talk the talk, walk the walk.

Last year 'Peace' wouldn't have made the top 30? Uh, yes he would have. He's always talked.

I don't remember that Pierce-Durant incident, can anyone shed some light on it?

Granted, he has always 'talked', but so does everyone else in the league, and when you miss a month and shut down the season early, it's doubtful you could win that player vote, because who was listening?

It would be kinda funny to find out who hates paul's guts the most, because unlike many trashtalkers, Pearce does seem to take it personal.  I remember hearing that Eddie Jones and PP had a grudge from day one of PP's rookie season.

I sit close and PP talks trash alot.  A lot of "you can't stop me" stuff. His head shaking "No" to peeps is more common. No one ca beat Gary Payton tho.  Man was non stop and I loved it!

I think that the Cs are now top of the list is that they are winners.  In the end the winner of the trash talking is the winner of the game. We are the Champs.  :)

PP is more of a "jokester" kind of personality. I think his trashtalking is more lighthearted boasting along with comical insults. He seems fairly amusing on TV when he has hosted Best [dang] Sports..

LB OTOH was a pretty cold SOB with regards to the trash talking - so I gather..
