AND WHY DID BRAD NOT CHALLENGE THAT?? Oh my Lord Brad's end-game decision-making is just God-awful. Atrocious.

He did.

How is the ref calling a bad foul a bad end game decision making judgement on Brad?

Because it never should've been in that situation. We had two timeouts left. You ALWAYS CALL TIMEOUT in that situation to give you more flexibility on the inbounds and to get the ball to a safe place.

The refs screwed us over - definitely. But it only happened because Brad made a bad decision in the first place.
No, you don't. You try to see if you can inbound it first before just calling the timeout willy nilly. And the inbounds was in. It was the right call too, because we DID get it over fine.

Nope, don't even take that chance when you have two timeouts left. Simple basketball decision.

I disagree that this was a moral loss.

Team blew a big lead, lost the momentum and then hung tough.  It was a tough quarter and they pulled it out with Portland shooting lights out.

Aaand exhale.

Lillard is horrifying when he controls the game like that.  It's a good thing the Blazers can't defend.

Celtics should've beaten them by 25 points. Having it come down to the wire-- can't let that happen in the playoffs.

Phew! What a game. Great win  ;D

I know they've got a tough schedule but I do hope Portland can eek it out over Memphis for that final spot. No disrespect to MEM, but I think POR can give the Lakers a better fight in the playoffs than MEM honestly.  Give them some fits.

This.

Edit. Not worth arguing over.

As far as I'm concerned, there's no such thing as a moral loss.

We got punched in the mouth.  We got back up and won the fight.  I respect that.

This is the NBA.  Other teams are good at this game, too.  They're going to hit shots, they're going to get stops, they're going to make runs.  We pulled it out.

Tough win.
And not a bad one at all because they came back after Portland's big run.

Man Lillard is just something else. Crazy deep threes, played excellent defense on Tatum who is like 6 inches taller than him.

No shame in this being a close game to me. I know the c's had a big lead but that was partly  just due to unsustainably hot 3 point shooting, I think at one point they were like 9/14 to start the game.

Jaylen with a huge fourth, literally didn't miss. 6/6 from the field for 16. Couple nice defensive plies and a tip out rebound.

Also Kemba looks great.
