That seals it. This is over.

Well done Team USA. I wasn't too impressed with their performance but they got the job done. Spain gave a very good effort in defeat and should be proud with their good work.

They got it done , but it wasn't pretty ... dodging the proverbial Olympic bullet. Congrats, USA.

Hands down the best Olympics for basketball we've had. Not sure how many watched the non-USA games, but the quality of play has dramatically improved in the past 4 years. 2016 will be tough.

As I watch Ibaka and Gasol handle this USA team in the post, I cant help but think about what Dream Team would have done with Robinson, Ewing, Barkley and Malone down there. Not to mention MICHAEL JORDAN, Drexler and Pippen on the wing with MAGIC and Stockton running the point. Dream team would not have the same trouble with the current USA team that they're having with Spain. It's a silly argument.

Won't ever make the team.  As KG stated, he's probably the most hated player in the NBA. It's happened before with better players than Rondo.

Great post, TP.

The talent level is definitely on the rise around the world.  Spain, France, Brazil, Russia, Argentina, and Lithuania all boast pretty impressive talent pools. I am definitely looking forward to 2016.  It will be tough to attain gold, but the quality of basketball is on the rise.

And what does everyone think of Sergio Llull?  I became impressed by his defensive ability and tenacity.  The Rockets bought his rights for $2.25 million, the most ever paid for a 2nd Round pick.  Unsurprising, since Morey is great at accumulting assets.  Yet surprising, as Llull does not play the PF position.

I love Llull! What a tough bulldog of a player. Reminds me a lot of Hinrich.
