I would like to thank the bulls for beating Miami tonight. The bulls look very good

I wouldnt. Theyre only a couple of losses behind us both now.

I expect both the bulls and heat to finish ahead of the celts. I see the celts in the third seed.

::) Why do you even post here?

Nice question from the superfan who just called his team chokers until he quickly edited the post. Caught you --  ;D

no surprises.  i didnt expect the celtics to win prior to the emotionally exhausting perkins trade, and i certainly didnt expect them to win after.  news flash though guys...we all loved perk a lot but his impact on this team wasnt as huge as we all liked to think, not with the depth we have at the center position when our team is even relatively healthy.  when we got shaq and jo in the offseason we shouldve known this might happen.  anyhow, the celtics are still very good...maybe even better now.  im proud that they kept tonights game close for so long, all things considered

I know we're coming off of a hugely emotional day but...this loss hurts. Badly.

I really wanted to show everyone that we would still be okay after everything that happened. I think I wanted to convince myself. I'll blame it on the emotions tonight but Saturday vs. the Clippers will be the true test.

  • Thank you Eddie!
Why couldn't they just get blown out in the 1st half?  It would save everyone so much aggravation, and nobody would care because they're playing with some guy who was randomly picked up out of Nowheresville, North Dakota and BBD is the starting center.

The average C's fan will place the blame on the Perk trade, even though Perk would not have suited up tonight because of his injury. Man, I'm glad I'm not an average C's fan.

actually, if they had Semih and Gody and Nate tonight, they would have at least had a bench. You are right, Perk was not going to play anyway.

Talk about a choke.

Not a choke.  A veteran team on a short rotation ran out of steam at the end.  Understandable, but still disappointing.
Pierce has played 28 minutes, Allen -- 33 minutes, and they still can't buy a bucket. It's a choke job alright.

If those guys only played that few minutes, that means our non existent bench played to many minutes. Why are you ignoring the fact that we are shorthanded?
Because it is irrelevant the way the particular situation was.

We had the lead in crunch time, and our best scorers, who haven't played much all night, failed to get anything going. That's it -- we had this game and we gave it away to a mediocre Denver squad.

Well, considering what has transpired the last few hours? I love the Celtics effort tonight.

They looked gassed there at the end.

MIA lost, too - with Bosh going 1-18 ;D.

We get our reinforcements soon.

You realize we were playing with half of a team right? This loss hurts but it is a sign that we can win with a 3rd big who was in the Dleague yesterday. Delonte played 23 minutes tonight. Has he played 23 minutes all year?

Are these threads always like this after losses?

  • It's not hard to work hard.
I almost never blame losses on 'energy,' but that's what really seemed off tonight. The Nuggs were flying all over the place and we had nowhere to turn to for a spark. Denver's a tough place to play at full strength.

Not a lot of friendly whistles tonight, either.

Not my favorite day of the season.
