Grizzlies look awful here.  They almost have to do the trade to save face now.

Gasol should have left for greener pastures.   He is stuck on a no where organization

That is better deal for Suns. Wizards miss out on a couple of 2nds but still end up with Ariza. Grizzlies still look awful

It's obvious that Rivers wasn't gelling in Washington so they get rid of him okay but they gave up Oubre as well for a rental in Ariza. Thank god we have Ainge running our show and not the clown in Washington that makes a deal like this and is locked into an upcoming super max for Wall.

I don't think they were going to re-sign Oubre anyway

I dont get this ..... how do you trade Oubre for Ariza.... Oubre is just a younger version of Ariza.

Not even close. Ariza might be ten years older than Oubre, but even at that age he is a much better all around player, especially defensively.

Does ANYONE think that Ariza will re-sign next year with Washington? I think there is ZERO possibility so Washington is ALL-IN this year with Ariza. They really think they have a chance at accomplishing anything? I don't see it. Just another bad move for Washington management which I love.

I don't get it either.  Oubre is a decent young prospect showing promise.

I don't.  It wouldn't surprise me if he ends up getting bought out because Washington still stinks.  However, they weren't going to be able to re-sign Oubre unless they move one of Wall, Beal or Porter.

Oubre probably is who he is going to be at this point.  He will get a little better, but his absolute best case at this point is Ariza.  The wizards also weren't going to re-sign him this summer, so I totally get why Washington would make that move.
