Remember last year, same thing this year, bad knee, no rest...he should be resting that week instead of playing in that game. He doesn't need to prove he is an all star, he doesn't need to be told he is one....everyone already knows it. Think playoffs, think rest & recovery, think last year....!

I agree.  I would rather see him sit that weekend.

If he's healthy enough to play in regular games the NBA says he needs to play in the all-star game.

Oh look.  He is to hurt to play the game leading into the all-star game.

Problem solved.

Is that an NBA fact, in some rule place somewhere..?....I'd be surprised. It is well known he is injured and recovering. Can you provide the place where you found that law...?

What...? You mean by watching him limp, and avoid jumping....You saw that too...? I figured you would understand...! Also seeing how he couldn't move in the other game to cover rashard lewis.........Rest = recovery.

Problem solved.

According to league policy, a player who is healthy enough to play in his team's games directly prior to and following the all-star game is required to participate in the all-star game itself. Therefore, Kobe Bryant was required to participate even with an injury.

How many games does KG have to sit out to avoid the ASG?

I think it's five games.

If he has to play in the all-star game, its not gonna be for extended minutes or anything.  Mostly get his facetime in and he's done.

Plus, its a glorified exhibition.  The effort exhibited isn't the most stellar.

Oh i am the general manager, or the coach...? Danny or doc...who does he work for...? Keep the focus, individual interests do not win championships...keep an eye on the big picture...THE PLAYOFFS....the allstar game is big one time....especially if you are hurting...think of the team....

Exactly, KG can tell the coach (SVG?) to limit his minutes. He'll play 10 minutes. Not a big deal.

I'd like KG to play 5 minutes at most lol and then be done for the game.

I think it would be funny if Van Gundy made KG play 40+ minutes in the game trying to wear the guy down. THAT would be quite the coaching strategy.  ;D
