Isn't the profile picture on twitter of this source a cartoon of a man with a long Pinocchio nose.

Things that make you go...hmmmmm

Exactly.

Sounds "Incarcerated Bob" - ish.

No chance Jaylen is traded for Harden. Zero.

Smart, kemba sure.

Smart, Kemba, Theis for Harden, Wood.

why  in the world would the Rockets do that? Have you seen Wood play?
There would have to be some significant draft compensation going to Houston for them to look at it, given they have no picks for a long time.

Not sure why Brown is off the table
They also just traded for Wall so they most definitely wouldn't want Kemba.  If Brown isn't on the table, we're not even in the discussion for Harden.

Danny Ainge is not going to trade Brown for a high volume wing scorer who doesn't make his name on defense.

He will make a big trade for a big...that is what he did the first time and it worked.

If a Harden trade involves Boston it is a three teamer and Boston gets a front court star....you know...like Kevin Garnett.

This is posturing. They're trying to get Philly to add more to the deal.

I assume we'll hear by Tues  or wed. That hardens been traded to philly

This sounds plausible.

In all seriousness though, have we heard any sort of credible rumor about Harden to the C's in the last month?? I know we did before the Draft with the thought being Hayward involved in either the same or separate deal elsewhere, but since then?

We've heard it for the Sixers, for the Heat, for the Nets, even for the Raptors once. Not the Celtics.

I still think the C's have zero interest, and neither does Harden.

That's the thing about rumors and trades. It's usually the least expected/heard team that makes the kill. Like Hayward has always been rumored for Indy, Knicks or Atlanta...somehow ended up in Charlotte  ;D I didn't think Westbrook would be going to Washington nor Paul George going to the Clippers. Perkins getting dealt to OKC for Nenad Krstic and Jeff Green too

The original target back then was James Harden, not Jeff Green.

Love Jaylen, but he's a borderline All Star at best...never gonna be in the MVP running, highly doubt Tatum will either. would hate to see Miami get Harden, we'll never be in the Finals.
Tatum and Harden gets you to the Finals most likely. Ainge could use the massive exception to fill in players.
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

I am not going to advocate for a deal because it would involve my favorite Celtic being traded for a player I'm lukewarm on; however, with a healthy Kemba, we are basically HOU last year, but with Jayson Tatum. That would be pretty scary for the rest of the league.

if by scary you mean good then you are wrong. There is nothing about this Celtics team that should scare other teams.

Bleacher Report picked up the report. I’m very wary of Harden meshing well with the Cs culture. Can Brad even handle Harden’s ego?

Hmm....this thing has some legs, then.

Regardless how we all feel about Harden dude is BONAFIDE.

One of the greatest scorers of all time. You can't make anymore jokes about his defense, either - he's gotten better in that area, too.

Add in the fact that at his age he is HUNGRY.

Whatever mistakes he's made in the past I'd bet he's focused on WINNING, now.

Coming to BOS would probably be his LAST chance.

"IF" he gets here he'd be ok.

Talent like that...all you do is unpackage him, turn him loose and enjoy the show.

It has legs, but is it credible?

He works in local Houston radio. Has a podcast. If the people breaking this were Michael Felgar, Tony Mazzeroti, or Lou Merloni, people in Boston radio, would it be credible?

Good points...

And unlikely that Tatum AND Brown are staying in a Harden deal, as well.

Danny shocked us in 2007-08 with KG so I'd guess we're due for a Christmas Shocker.
