Predict the trades made by the Celtics.

One point for predicting the Celtic who is traded.

One point for predicting the team he is traded to.

One point for correctly predicting any specific asset we acquire (i.e., Jalen Brunson; OKC #1; etc.  Cash does not count.)

The winner receives 500 TPs and the title of "Trade Deadline Guru" (or a similar title of your choice.)

All submissions are due by midnight EST on 2/10/22.  You will not get any points for deals you "predict" after they have been announced.  Submissions are limited to four total.

I predict Bruno and a second pick to the Thunder. In a separate trade  PJ Dozier and a second to The Thunder as well.

Bruno Fernando and PJ Dozier, between $2-3.5 million in cash considerations to OKC for a top-55 protected pick this year.

Dennis Schröder to Milwaukee, Donte DiVincenzo to Boston.

Dennis Schröder to Cleveland, Kevin Pangos, Ed Davis, San Antonio 2nd in 2022 to Boston.

Marcus Smart to Minnesota, McDaniels to Dallas, Brunson and Beasley to Boston.

Are there no points for correctly protecting non-player assets traded?  I have a different idea that includes sending out a pick, but didn’t use it because there were no points for it.

I demand at least one point for correctly predicting that no further trades will be made.   ;)

Schroder to CHI with the Cs taking back Troy Brown Jr and then in a second trade sending Dozier or Bol into the TE for CHI  got for trading Theis to keep both teams below the tax.

There may be second round pick in the mix to the Cs.

I’ll give you a TP if you’re right, so long as you give me one for assuring you that, under no circumstance, will the Celtics not make a trade by the deadline.

Roy, does it matter who predicts certain deals "first"? I think Schroder to 2-3 different potential teams is going to very popular, so considering it goes until the deadline, it seems like waiting until close to the end is beneficial.

fernando and Dozier to OKC for top-55 protected second rounder (C's sending cash to cover cost of waiving them)

-- done as single separate deal to create a larger TPE

Just a few questions:

Predicting the Celtic traded and the team he is traded to.  Is it necessary to predict the complete transaction like maybe picks and/or money going out along with the player?

Predicting any asset acquired. Again is it necessary to predict the complete transaction?

How will you handle ties?

Thanks Roy, this should be fun.

You’re on brother!

IMO, the Herangomez trade was a no brainer to clean up the salary situation, but I don’t see any other worthwhile moves.

I have a feeling this is how it’s gonna play out as well. Roster tweaking will be done during the offseason, with perhaps Brogdon as a realistic target.

I don’t think the C’s make any moves at the deadline. 8 man rotation is finally clicking, winning the last 7 out of 8 games and I don’t think it would be wise to tinker right now. Pritchard, Nesmith, and Fernandez aren’t ready to contribute and they won’t have much trade value at this point.
