After I read the 'Nique article this morning, I had to youtube that game.

Unbelievably, I forgot how great Bird was. What was I thinking?

One of the all time great 4th quarters.  I can distinctly remember driving back from my brother's graduation and having to pull off the Mass Pike to stop and listen to Johnny on the radio.  The reception kept going in and out and it was making us crazy.

This game actually came up just the other day. My father was complaining about having tickets for this game that he had to pass on to go the graduation.  I say it was his fault for suggesting my brother pursue a degree.   ;D

Man, I remember that game, and it definitely is the greatest 1 on 1 ever. I was always a fan of Dominique, simply for his raw athleticism, which I think is what made it such an interesting match up, sheer athletic dominance against maybe the most skilled, intelligent, strong willed basketball player ever.
