Love the offense tonight despite the mediocre results.  Not shooting especially well, but we’re generating a ton of excellent looks.  Keep getting those shots and they’ll start falling.

Good half.

Yes - good half.

Gordon making shots will make a difference.

Hayward is atrocious tonight. Terrible decision with the clock where it was, too.
Leading the team in rebounds and assists, has missed a few open looks. Atrocious seems a bit of an overreaction.

1-9 is not missing a few open looks lol

I understand people miss shots, but on nights like tonight with one of our big four out, Hayward simply has to step up with his scoring.

I know Hayward can’t buy a bucket right now but I like the shots he’s taken and that he keeps shooting.

He's got to get a few layups or free throws under his belt and he'll be okay. Just stop taking 3s until you make a couple of easy ones, Gordon!!

Agreed. He needs to watch the ball go through the basket
I'm bitter.

We're going to need Kardiac Kemba down the stretch I imagine. Just a gut feeling.

But obviously we need Hayward to do better too

Hayward isn't shooting well but he is doing everything just fine. He missed three fairly easy bunnies. It happens. Brown had a 2-3 game stretch where he did the same thing with easy shots at the rim. Tatum's whole first month was that way.

He is playing aggressively. Keep that up and the easy ones will start going down.

Not all of his shots have been open looks,

But I didn't realise it was that simple. You just need to "step up" and the shots fall. You should be a head coach somewhere with inspirational nuggets like that. While you're telling Gordon to step up, tell him not to worry about passing or rebounding, that's obviously not worth a [dang].

Hayward's having a terrible day.

It's cool, happens to every one. JT/Kemba definitely have had their few shares of some.

I'm loving his hustle, great applied defense, and aggressiveness in getting nice looks. If Smart ended up with his stat line, we'd probably shrug our shoulders, be a little upset, and then say, "oh well, that's Smart for you."

The great thing about our offense is that we don't just need to rely solely on one or two; our strength is the fact we have an array of threats on the floor.

doing ok in the first half.  wish Hayward wasn't a card-carrying member of the Masons tonight or we'd be up 10 going into half time.

That's not nasty at all. I am refuting that Hayward has been atrocious.

beat me to it. tp

The Clippers will be without Paul George for the rest of the game. He strained his left hamstring in the second quarter and went to the locker room.
