After the first Detroit game (3-3) what If I told you we’d be tied for first place after 10 games?

If both the Js and Tristan and Rob and Grant are all out... what kind of team can they field? I don’t know what the league should do but playing games this way is a farce. Also, if one or more Cs tested positive and some of their teammates have to quarantine, how do they decide where it stops? They’re all out on the floor together - and sos the other team.

This is going to be an interesting game, lol.  Eight players and five of them play the same position.

This is just a pickup game at this point.  Go jack some threes.  Maybe something ridiculous happens.
with who's available expect everyone but Tacko to jack mostly 3's

Oh no no - Brad is working on extending Tacko's range as we speak..

I agree that the game should not be played. If Tatum is positive how many other of his team mates are positive. The NBA season could be suspended because of the rapid increase in positive tests.

In addition to the three Celtics who had to sit out Friday's win over Washington -- Robert Williams III, who tested positive, and Grant Williams and Tristan Thompson, who were out due to contact tracing -- another four appeared on Saturday's report: Tatum, who was listed as doubtful; and Brown, Javonte Green and Semi Ojeleye, who were all questionable.

If those seven -- along with Romeo Langford (wrist) and Kemba Walker (knee), who remain out with injuries -- are all deemed unable to play in Sunday's game, Boston would be down to the bare minimum of eight available players to face Miami. Six of those players -- Marcus Smart, Jeff Teague, Payton Pritchard, Carsen Edwards, Tremont Waters and Aaron Nesmith -- are guards, in addition to centers Daniel Theis and Tacko Fall.

This should lead to some quality games going forward.

1 celtics play heat
2 celtics have outbreak and guys get shelved by tracing
3. Celtics play wizards
4. Tatum and Beal are put into quarantine
5. Heat defeat Wizards sans Beal
6. Heat (still at full strength) play C's skeleton roster

Does this make sense to anyone at all? Seems arbitrary and potentially corrupt. Imagine being in the league office, knowing who is going to be quarantined and who isn't before anyone else.

I hope Jaylen is allowed to play. His presence will at least give the Cs a fighting chance to steal one from Miami.

how is this corrupt? i am not following your argument here. are you suggesting that the NBA some how arranges games to put some teams at an advantage over others due to roster losses? obviously, that makes no sense.

why is it arbitrary? they follow testing for all teams and i cannot imagine the nba would risk the credibility of the entire league and its pandemic policies to stack rosters for a few games.

this is bad luck for the celtics, that is all i am seeing.

yeah , without him Butler and His buddies will run off and hide by 45 point beatdown ......we are bringing knifes to a gun battle. Witha bunch  of second string 6 ft guards ....how are we supposed to compete ?

I don't understand nba continues to try and put this monkey act on with covid running rampant though the ranks .

You let Lebron get covid and the NBa will fly into instant lockdown .  long as Lebron is healthy , kids in CA watching nBA
they are making good money and will play it out no matter what.

Next man up. If the rules allows the league to expect you to play you should play.
I’m so glad crybaby Doc Rivers is not our coach with his antics
